Revving as in out of gear? Making a lot of noise and money for his rich stock market friends but really going nowhere, except maybe Canada?

raising wages is inflationary and it is a sliver on the fixed income retired people unless the retired get proportional increase in income also. better raise the taxes of the very rich and lower their compensations to restrain the expanding income gaps and to keep them from consuming and wasting more than their fair share of the world's natural resources. raising wages alone is another lopsided unfair treatment for the fixed income retirees. the very rich are only people too.

revving economy for who other than the illegals ?

economy for the regular working folks sucks
3.50 gas
5.00 a lb ground beef
bacon, butter out of sight
all prices raised as a pound now seems to weigh 12 ounces and less an less product for same money

yea, great economy, you can buy less for more money

Of course odumbasz doesn't have to buy gas or groceries or pay utilities or rent so he is clueless as to a revving economy, just as he is clueless about foreign affairs.

Higher wages for whom? The part time workers making minimum wage.
Or, the under-employed; those thankful for any job in this "reving" economy.

How about investing in business here at home? Reduce the corporate tax rate so that industry stays in America? How about reducing the cost of doing business by eliminating ACA? That has been shown to be a failure that even Unions now decry.

Raising the minimum wage will further dampen the growth of business here in America. The Democrat leaders who never held a productive job, Obama and Hillary included, just cannot grasp that.

Obama has a good point, with the skyrocketing costs of basic living, food, shelter and energy, working people need more money to stay even.

Ah, the head ngr in charge is spewing BS again. This is a political ploy that no one believes. Raising the minimum wage will sink businesses and retired people. His plan has been in the works for years to destroy America and is working.
The America democratic people are the 3 blind mice. The EVIL is OHBAMA . His smiling face ought to tell you "he is lying again", but you people are too STUPID to see that. Wake the fk up.

The problem is that the US economy is not firing on all cylinders. The Obama administration has made unemployment an alternative lifestyle choice, so we have folks in their late twentys and thirties who have never worked a regular job in their life.

Economic growth is fueled by money — more exactly, by a broad base of consumers who have money to spend on products and services offered by the "makers." Absent that, growth stalls. That's what happened to create our economy woes. Reversing that trend remits the stagnancy As has been demonstrated by states that raised their minimum wages:

<<< Despite the absence of a federal increase, 13 states raised their minimum wages at the beginning of this year. Those states have added jobs at a faster pace than those that did not raise the wage, providing a counterpoint to a Congressional Budget Office report earlier this year that projected that a higher minimum wage of $10.10 an hour could cost the nation 500,000 jobs. >>>

Recall President George W. Bush's "stimulus package," which essentially involved giving most people around $100 and urging them to spend it, as opposed to stashing it away for an even rainier day. He, or his advisors, understood the basic requirement for economic growth, but his implementation of that principle was too meager to have a significant positive effect. Raising the minimum wage does.

Too many U.S. corporations still sitting on huge cash assets, allowing that raising the minimum wage should be a no-brainer......also, it feeds more commerce into our economy....

A long time ago a comedian said that one party openly admitted they were for the interests of the rich while the other party was vocal about their love for the workingman. Time and time again the 'new democrats' have demonstrated their contempt for American workers and are owned lock stock and barrel by wall street especially the clinton faction of the party!

No, it's OK, Obama will see we get higher wages. So even if coffee goes up, we'll almost break even. The same goes for food and necessities. It's a truly progressively brilliant plan.
