They don't - and if you're over 55, 90% chance you have a pre=existing condition. That being said, how far do you think an $8000.00 voucher will go?
A young man, with no health problems, spends over %500.00 monthly for insurance - that's $6000.00 for a young, healthy individual RIGHT NOW!
You're a damn fool to believe this will work - the CBO has stated this will bankrupt millions of seniors.
And are you serious? "You can choose Medicare, or you can get a voucher - take your pick!"
You buy that?
And just where do these "high risk pools" exist?
In his convention speech in Charlotte, President Obama vowed to block the Republican Medicare reform plan because “no American should ever have to spend their golden years at the mercy of insurance companies.”

But back in Washington, his Health and Human Services Department is launching a pilot program that would shift up to 2 million of the poorest and most-vulnerable seniors out of the federal Medicare program and into private health insurance plans overseen by the states.

The administration has accepted applications from 18 states to participate in the program, which would give states money to purchase managed-care plans for people who are either disabled or poor enough to qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. HHS approved the first state plan, one for Massachusetts, last month.

btw, it was Obama who said his health care plan would cut premiums by $2500 a year.

Yes, many voters have decided the likeability of the two candidates and, last I looked, they seemed to think RMoney is not the likeable one.

Hence the republicannot's attempt at "reframing Romney's image". The voters will decide whether their attempt at reframing worked?

That’s the exact same thing you were delusionally spewing before the conventions… Romney is a disaster and his campaign is even worse; it is so pathetic and sad – and entertaining to watch you idiots desperately cling to the last bastion of any hope… your hopeless wishes that the debates will save Romney’s chance to add the White House to his collection of property.

Your facts are a little lite, 90% chance? Really, I have none, not one and if you could just READ you would see that that little problem is taken care of anyhow. I'm thrilled that my husband will be covered, thus me, for 6 more years, I DREAD, absolutely dread, having to go on Medicare, no one I know that's on it likes it and the supplemental insurance just increases every year, the Romny Ryan plan can't be any worse and of course, it will keep Medicare solvent. Follow Obama and all seniors will be on Obamacare before they know it. No thanks, give me my own choice. MY choice, not something that the government thinks I need.

Medicare Advantage? The program initiated by Republicans to weaken the Financial Status of Medicare.

You really don't know much about your Government programs do you? Seniors over 65 automatically qualify for Medicare, depending on their health they can option to sign up for private HMOs, the Medicare Advantage Program, a gift to the Health Care Insurers as part of the Medicare Part D legislation. The cost in excess of $71.6 Billion to cover less than 5 Million seniors. Medicaid is used to pay for Seniors who need assisted living facilities in addition to medicare coverage, that depends on a Seniors assets.

3/4 of those on Medicaid are Senior Citizens in Nursing Homes or Children with disabilities, same with Food Stamps, 3/4 of those receiving Food Stamps are Seniors, Children and the Disabled in America.

The GOP desires to cut 5 million of that group from Food Stamps and Medicaid.

I was scrolling through the commentary when your post caught my eye. While lacking in literary devices and relying heavily on the texting shorthand, LOL, your post is a cut above your usual contributions, such as they are.If you work on your sentence structure and cease relying upon inappropriate and inflammatory stereotypes, you might one day put together a coherent opinion.

This sounds like the agenda of a pension stealing Skunk. Romney has shown a lack of character and judgement.

But the worse is the dancing on the graves of the diplomat and the Security Detail from Libya to gain an advantage in the polls to resurrect his campaign.

What will be enlightening is when Obama is asked to explain his "fairness doctrine". He will be doing everything in his cranium cavity to avoid saying "It's all about 'Liberation Theology' where the govt. needs to shift the wealth from the working population to the desendents of slavery."

Watching Biden will be a treat. I would not want to be in the audience when he implodes with all the spit and saliva coming forth. Biden will become totally red faced when he is on the hot seat and will begin to mumble when he is tied down.

The man at the top, Romney must carry much of the blame for the campaign that has been slammed for failing to eat into President Barack Obama’s lead in the polls. Last week, Fox News contributor Pat Caddell blasted the campaign as “the worst in my lifetime.”

How does it feel living in a State and Supporting Romney knowing that your vote won't even count when the tabulations are done?

You know Romney was caught on Tape today speaking to the issue that he knows he will not be the representatives of all the people equally if elected President.

Romney is destroying the Republican Party..... the Wheels have fallen off of that wagon, it's officially a sleigh now.
