Rob Ford, the drunken foul mouthed crack-smoking Mayor of Toronto, has higher approval ratings than BHO.

Correct comments from this article.

"They block him every step of the way. I don't think it's fair for them to say he's been a bad president. How can you do anything if your hands are tied?"

Re Congress, just 14 percent of Americans approve of the way legislators are handling the job. More than 9 in 10 Republicans say they disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job. It's the first time that's happened in AP-GfK polling since Republicans took control of the House after the 2010 elections,

Puts some of this in perspective, n'est-ce pas?

You reap what you sow. So far Obama has only sown noxious cockle these past five years. We've asked him for bread, and he's only given us stones. Worst president in the history of The Republic. Period.

Second terms can be tough on presidents.
Bush left the White House with a 22% approval rating.

After five years of Republican economic/political sabotage
Obama has a hard time convincing people that
he can deliver. Obama's presidency is like London under
the Blitz, a daily pounding by the enemy.

Maybe if the President was intelligent enough to propose something all our legislators could compromise on, he could get something done. This my way or the highway isn't even working with his Democrats. He isn't the brightest President we have ever had.

Teeboy, if you bothered to read the article it clearly states and I am happy to repeat it for you again:

"Congress continues to take its own outsized lumps in the polls as well. Just 14 percent of Americans approve of the way legislators are handling the job — up from a low of 5 percent after the government shutdown, but still nothing to celebrate. More than 9 in 10 Republicans say they disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job. It's the first time that's happened in AP-GfK polling since Republicans took control of the House after the 2010 elections."

We can replace a bad congressman in 2 years, it takes 6 years to replace a bad President, and if the dead vote it takes even longer.

About right, he's much like Carter though a bit more savvy. Unlike Carter, he's been lucky not to face any serious competition.

There hasn't been a good Republican President since Dwight D. Eisenhower. That's a LOOOONG losing streak.

Although Jerry Ford at least didn't do too much damage or alienate too many people...:)

Senators have 6 year terms, ignoramus. Presidents get 4. You're really too dumb to be allowed to vote, didja know that?

He has, many times. ReTHUGlicans obstruct the business of government because they're clueless fascists and haters.

I'm calling you on that one, especially since reTHUGlicans in Congress are far, far lower in the polls than the President.

Not that you can judge people by any other means than polls...it shows how stupid you are.

Actually I meant 8 years since we can't replace the Presidents without giving them some time to achieve something. Obama had Obamacare the first term but he will have to defend it for the entire 2nd term, and it still might not make it.

There's no reason for him to "defend" it, or wouldn't be if reTHUGLicans weren't literally spending ever waking moment trying to repeal it, while jobs, foreign policy, etc. go to hell.

Which is where the GOP should be...

You haven't noticed? There are a number od Democrats that are against Obamascam too. In fact now 60% of the American people are ready to repeal the whole thing. It is just a matter of time.

You hate the Affordable Care Act because you hate Obama. There is no other reason, no sanity or rationale to the thing. It's pure partisan hatred, with racial overtones.

It's not going to be "repealed." Deal with that, loser.

Nope, nothing in common, not in any way. Including repeal.

You're just a stupid partisan asshat. That's all.
