African Americans are going to start asking questions about how their life has gotten better since Barack Obama became president and they may not be impressed, says historian and columnist Timothy Stanley, a former Oxford and Harvard professor.

"On the one hand, you have this generation-defining moment a black guy made it to the presidency which means that lots of young African Americans can look at that and [be] inspired," Stanley said Thursday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

At the same time, Stanley added, "We've had five race riots since Obama became president, and black incomes have actually fallen."

The truely wise understand that what goes on in your house is more important than what goes on in the white house. And local elections are more or just as important as national elections beause they have a quicker impact on your daily life. Obama is president of america and not of bp, and he cant really get anything done without the support of both houses of congress..........Now how would rate John Boehner as speaker of the house? A question you devils never ask.

It's extremely shortsighted to suggest we evaluate a President by the extent to which African Americans feel their lives have gotten better.

Barrack Obama has been a consistently great President one who's chosen to serve all citizens equally to the best of his ability regardless of our race, our religion, whom we love, our gender, our genetic inheritance, our ethnic background, etc. His ability is exceptional, as demonstrated by his intelligence, altruism and perseverance in the face of vicious attempt by his non-loyal opponents to sabotage all of his constructive efforts.

You are forgetting that Obama and the Democrats controlled the House and Senate his first two years in office AND the Dems STILL control the Senate AND Have the Corporate Main-Stream Media on their Side.

Reagan and Clinton both got things done with the opposition party in power.

Boehner and the Republicans have passed many bills which they believe will help the middle-class and the economy BUT Harry Reid has blocked them.

While Clinton was getting Oral Sex in the WH, Newt Gingrich was running the country.

Of course, if one wants to be apolitical, it was Bill Gates and the tech boom that poured TRILLIONS of dollars into our economy with no help from the repubs or dems.

All he has to do is give a hundred thousand dollars or so back to those who lost their wealth the last several years. And that is being kind. Otherwise ph uk you...
