In socialist candidates' election success, some see ominous rejection of Democratic 'Old Guard'

There are 15 comments on the Fox News story from Jul 7, 2018, titled In socialist candidates' election success, some see ominous rejection of Democratic 'Old Guard'. In it, Fox News reports that:

The unexpected victory of political newcomer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over 10-term Rep. Joe Crowley - seen as a likely successor to House minority leader Nancy Pelosi - in the New York congressional Democratic primary has focused attention on more than the weariness among many liberals over establishment Democrats. Ocasio-Cortez is a self-styled socialist and proudly wore the label as she ran her grassroots campaign, promising to fight for free college education, a $15 federal minimum wage, an expansion of the Medicare program to include people of all ages, a universal jobs guarantee and abolititon of the country's immigration law enforcement agency.

All this talk of socialism. All this talk of a new far left Democrat Party. It is all nonsense. The Socialist that won this N Y District won in an election where only 20% of the voters turned up to vote. This proves nothing. Nothing except she will likely lose in November.

If you're not a socialist at the age of twenty you have no heart. If you're still a socialist at the age of thirty you have no brain.

Don'tworry. Thanks to the clintons all Sanders supporters have been removed from the dnc. Additionally they knew clinton was the reason they lost yet the old guard is firmly in control. About half of the dems stayed home on election day and the trend will continue since the party's move to the right has alienated decent democrats!

You have nothing to fight the Republicans with, your people do not appeal to normal Americans. We want people that respect law, and order, lower taxes, reduce the cost of all these social programs by getting rid of waste, create jobs, rebuild our military, and the Democrats embrace MS13 gangbangers, coddle illegals, increase waste in Government, and will fill the Supreme Court with progressives that will make law instead of interpret it. You ask 10 citizens why they voted for President Trump, and they will tell you they did not want Hillary nominating Supreme Court Justices.

Mere hot air. You'll see in November, you foul Russian trollop. The people are ready to rise up against Trump and his minions.

You merely repeat the same vile racist, xenophobic, bigoted nonsense. Utter garbage.

We will all see in November. Democrats can only rile a small number of people with their negative, belly aching. It is getting old. Talk to your neighbors if they will talk to a Democrat. Ordinary people are disgusted with the way this President is treated. Walk Away people number in the thousands. Walk aways' are former Democrats.

Ordinary people are tired of being raped of their healthcare. They're tired of talk about their Medicare or SS being taken away. They're tired of hatred and extremism. They're ashamed of Drumpf's imbecilic foreign policy behavior and attacks on our allies. They hate his child abuse at the border, too.

Ordinary folks are going to take down your party in November, beeeyotch. Just wait.

I think gleebile is Harvey. No? Who ever he is he is in for a huge surprise. If he had seen Schumer out there this A M at his press conference almost in tears, begging people to please vote Democrat in November he would know just how desperate Democrats are right now, and it won't get any better. Their people want free stuff, and if they discover they get the same free stuff with Republicans they got with Democrats they will stay home, and watch T V. And Democrats know this as well. They have ranted about the President for nearly 2 years, and there is nothing. They will have to manufacture something, and time is running out. Their own people are getting weary.
