Some federal offices will only be open 4 days a week. Nobody gets a pay cut, but they might have to lay off the 2 girls that answer the phones. All federal employees will get a 3% cost of living index raise, but only 2% performance raises. Times are tough.

Don't like being furloughed? Thank a Member of COngress for it, particularly if he/she/it is a Republican. They voted for sequester and forced it on us.

Remember, remember, a year from November...:)

Does any rational person truly believe that federal (most in a union) who are given furlough days off are not paid for those days ? The feds and the fed employee unions have the most liberal policies of vacation, sick and personal days off in the job sector and i'll bet not one furloughed worker has their paycheck reduced one penny on their furlough day off.

I talked too a federal agent yesterday. They will be taking 5 days furlough without pay, but retain benifits. They are having a hard time scheduling the 5 days, in some upper management. They want too put peoples lives in danger and have everyone take their 5 days at once, to prove a point. Most are spreading the days out, as not to interfer with any safety issues.

The White House wWing Boys Club knows how to 'work the masses', this is a new campaign. Expect this to be the 'New Face of SEQUESTER', it is half true. Many of the government redundancies are not needed on pay-roll. Honoring the United States Navy in 'NAVY DAY in CALIFORNIA' is cut, and that makes money for all of the businesses on the coast. It is 'selective punishment by Obama'.

Scumbag, you've already been called on this lie MULTIPLE times, and been COMPLETELY refuted. And yet you keep lying.

A White House advisor suggested the idea, Obama took it to the GOPee, and they went along with it. Boehner proclaimed that he "got 98% of what we wanted" when it came to sequestration.

And there's THIS exchange in which even BOEHNER admits that Obama didn't want the sequester cuts:

BOEHNER: And so, he (Obama) forced this process to occur. And insisted Ė

TAPPER: But he didnít want the sequester cuts Ė

BOEHNER: Well, no, he didnít want the cuts, but uh, uh, oh, we have the sequester as a result of his demands [BULLS--T].

Sequester was a joint idea by Boehner and Obama.
A Republican majority voted for it and made it possible.

In July 2011, REPUBLICANS PROPOSED a plan (sequestration) that
would (a) make some cuts immediately and (b) create a bipartisan
committee to propose further cuts down the road. But they wanted
some kind of automatic trigger in case the committee couldn't
agree on those further cuts, so the White House hauled out
sequestration from the dustbin of history as an enforcement
mechanism. It would go into effect automatically if no deal was reached.

Don't get me wrong tinkerbell, sequester was voted on by the republicans, it was the only way to get any cuts at all. They of course are not really cuts but are reductions of rate of growth. What you see right now is Obama trying to get all the propaganda out of the sequester by claiming it's costing jobs so he can blame the republicans and that the spot light off his balding head.
