Pastor apologizes for part in Newtown vigil

A Lutheran pastor has apologized after being chastised by his denomination's leader for offering a prayer at an interfaith vigil for the victims of the school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

Reading the article, the I knew it was Missouri Synod the second they mentioned Lutheran.

He doesn't owe an apology to anyone.

We will always have folks (wether it be political, religious, or media groups) who want to take an event like 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, or Newtown and brand it as their own. Speak, cry, pray whatever you want about Newtown, so long as you don't attempt to block anyone elses free expression.
