They're more like a high school student council that can't decide what day to hold the prom.

I think the Obama's are whiney children that have way over stayed their five year vacation on our dime.

This is unbelievable. The Obama administration has shut down the Amber Alert website because of the government shutdown and it now renders this message when you attempt to access it:

I’m sure you care about your lost child but Obama doesn’t – at least not while he’s trying to ‘win’ the government shutdown. I understand from twitter that Amber alerts are state level programs with a federal website. Not real sure how all that works but it just seems unfathomable that this website wouldn’t qualify under ‘essential’, especially when most of the government is still operating.

No, this is just Obama putting politics ahead of you finding your lost child. Despicable.
UPDATE: Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move website works just fine. Seriously.(h/t:@kesgardner)

I hope no one is covering their healthcare.
Now, what do you think the ACA was designed to do? Cover us? Not bloody likely, since the huge deductibles and co pays still exist, in spite of huge monthly payments. Sorry, to say, but the administration worked a deal with the insurance companies that they will cover the illegals using the extra funds pumped in by the mandate. That is who is STILL covering the illegals, just not by tax dollars, but insurance dollars.

All Boehner has to do is allow a clean vote....if the house votes against the cleanCR then the President is forced to make a deal...until that clean CR comes up for a vote why should he? The reason it has not come up for a vote Mr. Speaker knows there will be enough defections to pass the CR.

How much are those "huge" monthly payments under the ACA?

Some ACA monthly payment could be relatively LOW.

HOWEVER, with a low premium is a VERY HIGH deductible.

Even with ACA insurance a person might have to pay $2400 even BEFORE ANY insurance kicks in.(that's called the deductible).

Usually, the higher the premium, the lower the deductible.

AFFORDABLE (low-cost) health insurance generally has a higher deductible.

So, in theory, someone with low cost insurance could easily have to come up with THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for medical bills ON THEIR OWN before their insurance pays a single penny.

The agenda people critical of opponents of Affordable CARE Act aka Obama CARE at the same time have set out to make life 'as difficult' for people as possible while budget talks are at an impasse.

http://www.examiner.com/article/park-ranger-a...

Is this really about CARE or CARING for the people?

Um...yeah. Insurance has always been that way depending upon the type of insurance you choose (HMO versus PPO, for example)

So, again, my question is: how much are these really high premiums that people are talking about under the ACA?

Premiums are dependent upon the number of family members to be insured and how much a person makes in a year.

A family of 4 making $25,000 might only have to pay $500 per year.

You can check for yourself by trying various combinations at the following website:

Depends on who you are and how much you make. The subsidies are great if you're a pauper. If you are what is called middle class, you're gonna get the shaft. Even $250.00 a month for someone who never had that cost before, something in their budget is going to suffer. Then there is the deductible,$6,000.00 to $10,000.00, potentially. Then their are co-pays, those are enough to wreak havoc on your budget. How about those individuals who have plans already privately; their insurance is increasing exponentially, plus having their plans altered and coverage for certain procedures being dropped? But, hey, Odumbocare is the ANSWER!!! LOL!

These people you're describing - did they or did they not have insurance before?

Possibly through an employer, but many of the corps are removing family from the insurance plans. Some people don't have insurance now because of unemployment. The bottom line, to mandate insurance for health which you may or may not get sick enough to use is simply a tool to cover those who don't pay. Illegals don't pay, they are not required to, yet here they are. Draining our resources while the gubmint enacts more mandates to force us to cover them. How much of your car insurance covers those who have none and have accidents. Mine is about 45% of the yearly total. That is BS.
