Sure, lets help them develop axes & saws and teach them to cut down all their trees and burn them for heat & cooking & electricity generation. That works too..... Maybe then we can help them develop buggy & whip & saddle factories to harness their resources their for transportation. They could use Zebras to pull their buggies. That works too....
Then again, we get most of our energy from coal, oil and natural gas; let's help Africa develop their fossil fuel resources instead of wasting money on green energy. Let's help Africans, not just ourselves.

Yep, I bet you don't use any technology either. Energy does a little better using it than drilling wild cat wells pookie. Don't let your gay hate hurt your learning curve. Save your hate for yourself. That's where it is really directed.

I'm not opposed to using forest resources, just not a fan of clear cutting like W.T.S., but the issue is energy, not lumber.

Lumber can supply all the energy they need, just like it did once in America.

How is clear cutting a forest any different than mountaintop removal coal mining?

Africa isn't America, there's no need to make them recapitulate our history of energy use; they can jump to the 21st Century instead. There's desperate energy poverty in Africa, there's no time or resources to waste on renewable or green energy.

Which is exactly why we shouldn't encourage them to repeat our mistakes of coal & oil. They should go right to renewable energy and leapfrog ahead of us instead.

They're the same unnecessary environmental destruction just so a few coal barons can get rich while killing their employees.

W.T.S. wants to trip up Africa's economy completely; we get most of our energy and all of our fuel from coal, oil and natural gas. If it's good enough for America, it's good enough for Africa.

Except those employees voluntarily choose those working conditions and customers voluntarily choose to buy coal, oil and natural gas. W.T.S. wants to take choice from the hands of poor Africans and put those decisioins in the hands of wealthy American 'environmentalists'.

This is where we differ, I believe in freedom and real energy, not the dream of renewables and green energy. I don't want to make Africans pay for W.T.S.'s mistakes.

No, you just want to kill them with fossil fuels, just like you want to kill Americans with fossil fuels.

Our economy & society will collapse eventually all due to our dependency on fossil fuels.

Enjoy it while you can.

W.T.S. calls it 'kill'; for me fossil fuel means warming and cooling my home, keeping my food cold or frozen then the energy to cook it. As if 'kill' by using fossil fuel means traveling from home to work and using the energy required to do your job. Fossil fuel creates prosperity and growth; to W.T.S. it means 'kill'.

I use fossil fuel all the time, couldn't get along without it. Biofuel just raises food prices, wind and solar are crony boondoggles, the energy of the future has to wait for tomorrow. This is today.

That's one way of looking at things, of course we've never used up a geological resource. The biosphere is weak, we've hunted woolly mammoths to extinction but there's still gold and all other minerals being mined every day. As long as we've got an economic incentive, we'll find more energy and fuel, if we're not stopped by government regulation. I oppose efforts to make fossil fuel seem rare and precious, high taxes on fossil fuel is bad for our economy.

Right, you support killing Americans & the planet by relying on fossil fuels.

And the sheeple will follow you right off the cliff.

Congrats on causing the impending collapse of our economy & society just so you can drive a 10mpg SUV 50+miles to work.

Nobody is forcing Americans to produce or use fossil fuel. They are less expensive and more reliable than green energy, that's all.

When W.T.S. writes: "killing []the planet", think he means Earth?

.

Lead, follow or get out of the way. There is no magic renewable energy or fuel that can provide the reliable energy we get from fossil fuel.

.

Driving and energy to power your workplace aren't the only benefits of fossil fuel, it also moves your goods to and from market, cools your home in summer and warms it in winter. If solar, wind and biofuel could work without subsidy and mandate, you wouldn't need to waste taxpayers and consumers money on the left's backward energy schemes.
