If you're a seriously ill veteran seeking an appointment with the VA go to Helen Wait. She's the best they can do right now.

Obama never has cared for the military - when the budget talks came up the first place he wants to cut is the military pay, (sequester) and he wants our military force below what it was before WWII.

when Dems are in control of the military, bad things happen to the military....When bubba was prez, and Hillary was assistant prez, she had full colonels carrying her luggage and serving drinks and canapés. She thought those cute uniforms were the way the help dressed.

Do you really believe there will be a naval ship or base named after Obama? Not that there should be for our leaders. But we passed the point many years ago when those military things were named by freedom type names or individuals who were peons and did great heroic actions to warrant it. Now we name things from our leaders and/or unelected so called great men. Obama and Clinton would be really pushing it for future military recognition. Never mind selling the rest of the imperial fascist nation to us peons. But they are selling us a traitor if true and half the population is buying it so anything goes. Even if several of his buddies died trying to help him. Life and death controlled by progressives ends up with insanity related results. And they blame others for it.

Sailors would refuse to serve on a ship named the USS Jimmy Carter, or the USS Barrack Obama....they are a superstitious lot, why take a chance?

Isn't there a ship named the Jimmy Carter? He was a nuclear technician in the Navy I believe.

Of course the Republican House had nothing to do with VA budget cuts, right?

Anyone who tries to score political points from this VA healthcare tragedy is not really interested in solving the problem.
The blame lies in this huge unwieldy bureaucracy and those who exploit it. If we don't work together to solve this problem, it won't get solved. Maybe that's the result some people want.

No one is trying to score points for anything - FACTS ARE FACTS - Obama HITS on the military every time he is told to cut the budget and OBAMA was the one that wanted the sequester. He was told by the GOP not to go after the military and he would not listen. He was going to show the GOP - well the WWII veterans showed Obama.

The VA was part of Obamas campaign speech and he was going to fix the problem - he fixed it just like he does all of his other "phony scandals" he IGNORES them and hopes the press will also. The people are sick of his LIES.

Veterans deserve the best medical care that can be given.

Lets take this one step more - Obama is screaming for a minimum wage of $10.00 an hour - go and check what a PVT makes per MONTH. The people on unemployment make more than the PVT's do and they are WORKING. The people on unemployment should all be ready to retire they have been on it for years.

If you're claiming that the military are underpaid, I agree.

Spoken by someone who hasn't served, IG.

Putting aside the 'Jimmy Carter' would be an attack submarine... something you wouldn't have the grapes to serve on.

You don't have a clue as to how the US budget is prepared, boy.

PS: The Cold War and the two Bush wars are over. Now's the time to start taking care of those who served in those wars.

We can agree that it was a mess when Bush handed it to him.

The Republicans in the US Senate turned down a bill in February that would have opened 27 new care facilities.

You mean brother Billy, the pretend redneck?

Jimmy Carter made his share of mistakes as president, but he also had important accomplishments. He is a good and kind man, whose religion never got in the way of his duties as president. He may also be the finest ex-president who ever lived. Jimmy Carter is the kind of Christian Jesus would have been proud of.
