There are 9 comments on the The Progress story from Mar 8, 2018, titled US lawsuit over California immigration laws is warning shot. In it, The Progress reports that:

Graduate student Steven Lynn holds up a sign during a protest against U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who was speaking to the California Peace Officer Association meeting, Wednesday, March 7, 2018, in Sacramento, Calif. California Gov. Jerry Brown denounced Sessions for coming to the state to speak about a lawsuit targeting policies that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities, saying Wednesday it was unprecedented for him to "act more like Fox News than a law enforcement officer."

"In Sacramento on Wednesday, Gov. Jerry Brown and state Attorney General Xavier Becerra, both Democrats, called Sessions' visit and the lawsuit a political stunt and denied that they want to give immigrants free rein to enter the country illegally."

Another lie fest from Jerry and the Reconquista. What about "protecting" our natural born citizens? Where's Kathryn Steinle's protection? Where is her justice? Yeah, riiiiggghhhttt! It's in YOUR back pocket saving murdering illegals that move without impunity throughout society. It's time to call out all Governors, Mayors, City Councils, Legislators. All that have participated should at this time be in Federal prison pending sentencing. While going through the heard getting rid of the culls, charge these same scofflaw clowns for running a drug cartel for tax enterprise.

Sessions is taking the weak approach. He should have arrested the governor, mayor of Oakland, and other California officials on criminal charges.

During the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl disaster California put guards at the border to keep fellow Americans fleeing the disaster from entering the state. They literally turned away American families, hungry, homeless men, women, and children, who were fleeing a terrible natural disaster. Now they are giving sanctuary to illegal immigrants who are coming to the USA for their own economic gain.

That is because these are hard working people from South of the Border. During the Depression it was lazy hillbilly deadbeats from KY.

Jerry Brown and the mayor of Oakland are both cowards who work against the United States policies. They should both be exiled from the country. They are democrats who broke the law of our country, only for a crooked vote. They made voting in California like voting in Mexico, completely corrupt. The FBI should check these two cowards out and throw the book at them. Americans should demand their arrest. Marching in the streets protesting coward Jerry Brown will speed up the process. Demand they be put in prison or exiled to their favorite country Mexico. Jerry doesn't know legal from ILLEGAL. He thinks he can cheat by using illegal aliens to vote with a drivers license. He used tax payers money to push his corruption, anyone can see that. The time is now to take action, write to your representatives and let them know you want ACTION taken on this matter NOW!

If it ok for California to disregard federal laws they don't agree with can Mississippi, Alabama etc disregard the federal laws they disagree with?

Similar to Trump's treatment of the inhabitants of Puerto Rico following the hurricane and Bush during Katrina

California evidently believes in Nullification. And not just on immigration. Look at how the state legalized marijuana in defiance of federal laws.
