Obama indicates he will prosecute the Bush Administration
Tonight I had an opportunity to ask Barack Obama a question that is on the minds of many Americans, yet rarely rises to the surface in the great ruckus of the 2008 presidential race -- and that is whether an Obama administration would seek to prosecute officials of a former Bush administration on the revelations that they greenlighted torture, or for other potential crimes that took place in the White House.
Obama said that as president he would indeed ask his new Attorney General and his deputies to "immediately review the information that's already there" and determine if an inquiry is warranted -- but he also tread carefully on the issue, in line with his reputation for seeking to bridge the partisan divide. He worried that such a probe could be spun as "a partisan witch hunt." However, he said that equation changes if there was willful criminality, because "nobody is above the law."

With the way anything anyone says is "spun" into such blatant f**kery, I wouldn't say much right now either.

Even if Obama could succesfully prosecute the Bush administration none of his staff would get any jail time except Condi " Oliver North " Rice. She would take thefall for "her husband" I mean Boss.

It has been a long time coming. Pelosi and others are afraid for their own positions. It would take some one with guts to make Bush and the rest of that corrupt administration accountable for all the injustices of the past 7 years.

Obama is making a fool of himself by stirring up the idiot fringe that is still smarting from Clinton's impeachment.
If he is to be a uniter, which is becoming less & less likely with every new left wing comment, he will need to make his changes and move on. |
Congress took oaths too but I haven't seen them do anything when you have this president come right out and say he has broken the laws of out country. We should vote in all Democrats and see if they will do something about all the presidents men. I just wonder I've waited almost 6 years to see these people held accountable for taking us into this war/occupation of Iraq and killing our men/women in the military, the lies to the build up to going to war, no investigating of the attack on 9-11 and how they got though our defences it is unbelievable to any thinking person. It's no wonder so many are scare and believe some rich guy in a cave planed all of this and would know that our military would be off center so they could hit 3 out of 4 targets. Just does not make sense and Bush reading some goat book while it happens, and Cheney do some military drills this is the explanations we get. For me it takes more then that to let them off. |

You seem to forget that many Senate Democrats voted for the Authorization to Use Military Force in Iraq. They read the same intel reports and came to the same conclusion. Only Dem that made a legit case against going was Sen Bob Graham but he looked like a woos when Hildabeast started beating her war drums after the vote. As far as your hints at a 9-11 conspiracy, you will have to explain some more. |

The Bush administration has broken so many laws and gone against the will of the people so often, that someone should be held accountable. There are many more people in prison for less.

If he thought it would get him votes, he'd agree to divorce Michelle and marry Ann Coulter. He's working for extra credit on his term paper now, which demonstrates very clearly why you DON'T want this clown rewriting the US Constitution and taking government apart brick by brick.
He sees apartheid in the Fed. He sees an unlimited well of capital for "his" people. He sees the magic wand of "change" as something he can wave over the birdbrains of the American public and watch is chair rise off the platform. He is a fraud and a huckster. |
