If the latest Republican attempt to repeal Obamacare doesn't work, it may become known as the Jimmy Kimmel Non-Law. The comic's withering attacks this week have transformed the debate over the bill and, in the process, illustrated how thoroughly late-night talk shows have changed and become homes for potent points of view.

n 1998, Cassidy helped found the Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic to provide uninsured residents of the greater Baton Rouge area with access to free health care. The Clinic provides low-income families with free dental, medical, mental health and vision care through a "virtual" approach that partners needy patients with doctors who provide care free of charge.[7]

Cassidy has also been involved in setting up the nonprofit Health Centers in Schools, which vaccinates children in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System against Hepatitis B and flu.[8][9]

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Cassidy led a group of health care volunteers to convert an abandoned K-Mart building into an emergency health care facility, providing basic health care to victims of the hurricane.[10

In a state that has had a wrestler for governor and a mediocre comic for senator, I can understand your admiration for a late night Hollywood clown as your source of infinite wisdom.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for the lying Senator now,'SLAL'? I don't care what kind of medical practice your fake unattributed news story claims he conducted, the goofus is a national liar . You know, like Lyin' Ted Cruz. With a pseudonym like yours, SLAL, you should detest all liars, not just those with whom you disagree with politically. And make no mistake about it, the humiliated Senator Goofus is a shameless liar.

I bet you if it was my son, they'd have stuck him with a dirty needle and had been done with it long ago. Thanks, Obama.

If you looked closely at the picture in the icon, you will notice it is a photo of the most quintessential liar to have ever held elected office. You resort to ad hominem attacks on the senator because you argument is baseless as is kimmels. Late night denizens with slight humorous attributions should stick to their innate ability,....... to make fools laugh.

Kimmel's new born son just had open heart surgery. Maybe he actually knows something about our glorious healthcare system.
You tried to keep your baby alive lately? Sure he had the money to make it happen, but he also realizes most people do not have baby open heart surgery money just laying around in lieu of decent health insurance.

WOW. You are hitting new lows. I can't believe you would ridicule an entire state because of the religion of one of it's Senators.

Actually Minnesota is a beautiful state with abundant natural resources. I have fished in Minnesota many times. I love their crystal clear lakes surrounded by thick birch forests. My Father was from Minnesota and I spent many summer vacations on Caribou Lake west of Duluth. I would consider living there if the summers were more then four hours long.

yeah, but other than Hibbing, which is famous for Robert Zimmerman, the only place in the whole state you can get a double espresso cappuccino latte grande is in the Twin cities.

Back when Jessie V was Gov the Right wing was singing his praise because he occasionally bad mouthed Washington DC.

Al Frankin may have been a comedian but he also has an almost genius level IQ. He can also freehand draw a perfect map of the USA with all of its states and state capitals pinpointed and named. I don't think Trump could find his home state of NY on a map if it was labeled.

But I guess with nothing to offer the GOPenis in hand gang, has nothing left but to make silly personal attacks on a persons successful career or his religion.

Would a religious test for public office satisfy your concerns? It would only mean partially repealing this section of Article Six:

"... no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States...."
