Selective "conservatism"?

Or a lying teabagger:
After seeking millions of dollars from a federal stimulus program he opposed, Republican vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan repeatedly denied lobbying the Obama administration for home state aid -- first on a Boston radio station in 2010 and then again on Tuesday in an interview with a Ohio television station.

On October 28, 2010, after the Wisconsin Republican penned at least five letters to two federal departments seeking grants under the Obama administration’s economic recovery package, Ryan responded to a caller on WBZ’s Nightside with Dan Rea who asked if he sought any of the money.

Ryan said that he would not vote against something “then write to the government to ask them to send us money.”

“I did not request any stimulus money,” he continued.

Meanwhile, in an interview yesterday with an Ohio television station, Ryan repeated the denial, before quickly adding “I don’t recall.”

But beginning in the fall of 2009, he sent the first of a series of letters to the Department of Energy on behalf of a pair of Wisconsin energy conservation groups, insisting the funds would help create jobs, the Globe reported on Tuesday.

For example, Ryan predicted that a grant being sought by the Madison-based Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation would “create or retain approximately 7,600 new jobs over the three-year grant period and the subsequent three years.”

The letter continued:“I was pleased that the primary objectives of their project will allow residents and businesses in the partner cities to reduce their energy costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and stimulate the local economy by creating new jobs.”

The organization ultimately received $20 million in economy stimulus funds, while another entity that he advocated for, the Energy Center of Wisconsin, was awarded a separate $740,000, according to federal records.

Asked about the letters to the Department of Energy on Monday, Ryan’s spokesman declined to comment and pointed the Globe to a statement from Ryan’s Capitol Hill office from 2010 when the Wall Street Journal reported he had written a single letter to the Department of Labor seeking stimulus funds.

DOE?

Don't the teabaggers want get rid of them?

A Freedom of Information Act request for correspondence between Ryan's office and the Environmental Protection Agency, unearthed two additional instances in which the Wisconsin Republican petitioned for American Recovery Act funds. In addition, there were many other occasions in which the GOP vice presidential nominee asked the EPA for grant money for projects in Wisconsin's 1st District, which encompasses Ryan's hometown of Janesville and has a slight Democratic lean. Combined, the letters muddy Ryan's claim that the stimulus wasn't helpful and that government spending, more broadly, doesn't assist small businesses.

I still submit that he did his job as a Congressman for his State! If the government is handing out money, you will make efforts to obtain some for your State. Did you want him to say "No, I don't want any of the stimulus money my State is doing just great"?

Obama & Biden are pro's at passing the blame,They always find someone to blame for their failed policies,It was Bush for 3 1/2 years now they are trying to blame Rommney and he is only a previous Governor and not even elected to office.
They never admit to their faults that is the reason we need to be leary of these people.A Man who cannot and will not admit to their wrongs will just keep doing the same except they will become even more conceited and arrogarent.

Biden interrupted Ryan 82 times because Ryan started to or made good points. Biden did all he could to prevent voters from hearing Ryan's arguments. In a highschool debate, Biden would have been disqualified. Because Radditz didn't keep the juvenile under control, Biden succeeded in distracting viewers.

BUT upon watching clips of the debate, viewers can hear again what Ryan said, and the debate winner shifted to Ryan. Many viewers turned off their TVs once Biden began his snorting sounds. It was difficult to watch the debate because of Biden.

Ryan made good points 82 times, which Biden had to cut off 82 times at the pass.

At one point while Biden keeps guffawing, if you recall, Ryan turned to Biden and said he understands that Biden is under great duress to save his boss's tail. Biden SHUT UP right away, and finally Ryan finishes.

I'd say that calls for applaud! Dealing with a drunk effectively without resorting to same tactic is commendable!

According to his rhetoric? yes

Then again it wasn't offered to him, he requested it.

"That stimulus didn't work," Romney said at an Ohio speech in June. "That stimulus didn't put more private-sector people to work."

This trillion dollar spending bill misses the mark on all counts,” said Ryan in a statement from his office.“This is not a crisis we can spend and borrow our way out of – that is how we got here in the first place.”

Ryan's office says his budget plan "calls for getting Washington out of the business of picking winners and losers in the economy — and that includes our energy sector."

Ryan also sent three letters to Chu in October 2009 seeking stimulus money for the Energy Center of Wisconsin, another nonprofit organization that promotes energy efficiency.

Yet, in Ryan's letter to the Labor Department in October 2009, he backed the Energy Center of Wisconsin's grant application for stimulus money "to develop an industry-driven training and placement agenda that intends to place 1,000 workers in green jobs."

I still submit the anti-prostitution politician getting caught with a hooker.

Have you forgotten the royal buttkicking democrats received 2 years ago?
Apparently.
Well things are even worse now and all Americans know it.
Expect a crushing defeat for the failure Obama.
That's what teabaggers consider a job: Welfare.

They're experts at eliminating them.

Teabaggers want to go back to the "glory days" of George Bush.

When we were losing 500,000 jobs a month but proclaiming "we are prosperous":

President George W. Bush sought to assure the public that the U.S. economy remains fundamentally sound even as the country is experiencing ``unsettling times in the housing market.''

``Inflation is down, job markets are steady and strong,'' Bush said today at a White House news conference.``The fundamentals of our nation's economy are strong.''

The collapse of the mortgage market for borrowers with poor credit histories has roiled global credit markets, contributed to the largest U.S. housing slump in 16 years, and sparked demands for policy solutions. Lenders began foreclosing on as many as 345,135 Americans' homes in the second quarter, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Bush promised to work with Congress to let the Federal Housing Administration back more home loans. The measure passed the House this week and now moves to the Senate floor.

Yep, teabagger "glory" days.

How did they do it?

But this congress who has the lowest approval rating in history shares none of the blame for our current situation?
