Killing people using nerve gas would be one reason, Spoogesponge.
That didn't bother anyone when Saddam was doing it. Why the sudden concern?

The equipment Assad used to make nerve gas has been destroyed... without the US firing a shot.

That's true when only the federal income tax is considered in that equation. The point was there are other federal tax revenues that would have never left the state in the first place. Most of the red states are agrarian in nature which subjects them to farm subsidies.
And then there are supreme court decisions like Plyler vs. Doe that places burdens on state economies. The federal government does very little about illegal immigrants and turns around and requires them to educate them.
For example?

Give some specifics that support your argument

Typical teabagger reaction. Would rather praise a communist despot who did nothing then give credit to the President of the United States. No wonder your party is considered a bunch of inbred anti-American imbeciles.

Sure it was. He made the same offer with Iran's nuclear material. You're not going give credit to Kerry's off the cuff remark, are you? Even the State Dept., backing off the remark, said that was a "rhetorical argument" and not a proposal and added Assad couldn't be trusted.

Give me a break. Obama painted himself into a no win situation with his stupid red line remark. He had no desire, nor did he have public approval, to bomb Syria. It, most assuredly, wouldn't have passed in the House. Putin took advantage of that and created for himself in a win, win opportunity.

Review: Obama told Pootin he was going to clobber Assad for using nerve gas and Pootin said: oh, no! don't do that! I'll go collect the weapons and make sure he doesn't do it again!

Assad hasn't used them since. Obama doesn't fire a shot.

Anything else, Tea Bagged?

Pootin HAD NO INTENTION EVER of collecting nerve gas being used by his boy ASSAD.

Until he was put on notice.

Actually red states by and large are government takers while blue states by and large are government givers. Not all, and not proportionally but by and large, they do.

Review of the review: Oh shyt, I drew a red line and they called my bluff. What do I do? I am the peace president. I pulled troops out of Iraq. I let France take charge in Libya. Only Bush bombs other countries. I'll look bad, the public and the House doesn't want to get involved in another conflict. I'll look like Bush. Pootin says, oh look, the dummy got himself between a rock and a hard place. I can really come out smelling sweet on this one. I can be the peace maker and make the bomber look bad. I'll make the same peace offer I did with Iran's nuclear material. I looked good with that one, Iran looked bad.
