<quoted text>Instead of learning their lesson, the teapublicans drag Palin out of the closet, brush off her mothballs, wind her up and send her squawking to the WWII memorial with Teddy the Pandering Bear and she accuses President Obama of using the vets as pawns during the shutdown as she and Teddy stand there using vets as pawns during the shutdown they themselves created.
It would be funny if it weren't so ludicrous.
No, it's funny. Who am I kidding?
the proveable fact that Palin has always backed losing, idiotic plans and candidates should give thinking people a clue as to this stunt...

basically, if Palin is involved, rational people should oppose it...

You should read the opinion from the State of NJ Supreme Court. By

Your court in Jersey rejected the stay requested by Governor Christie because of the ruling on gay marriage by the US Supreme Court.

You can trivialized this all you want, the bottom line is the day of treating gays by certain administrations on the state level as second class citizens and unworthy of equal protections and access has reached a conclusion in America.

How can you say that? It was the state supreme court that legalized same sex marriage in this state. Civil unions were legal here and same sex civil unions were granted state benefits like family healthcare plans and so on.
The federal supreme court decision only extended federal benefits to same sex marriages [where they were legal], but did not address civil unions. That created a condition of inequality that violated the state's constitution. The state's civil unions still couldn't receive federal benefits.
This reaffirms my position that it is easier to move a state toward that legislation than the federal government. Two states legalized marijuana by public referendum, people's law. Only the federal government makes it illegal.

I don't know what your point is, but you essentially repeated mine. It was New Jersey's constitution that was being violated as a result of the federal supreme court decision. It created a condition that violated NJ's equal protection guarantee. Maybe you don't understand, I'm not arguing against it.

Read some excerpts from the court decision. The federal court decision created an inequality to our civil union couples that violated NJ's constitution.

It was the state that fixed itself.

the US constitution cannot violate a states constitution, only the other way around.

To be fair, all of the WWII vets are old, and some are senile...they're easily confused by fast-talking bullshitters. They may even have been paid off by Faux News or some other representative of reTHUGlican billionaires.

Fortunately, this pathetically dishonest attempt to blame the whole thing on Mr. Obama by playing the 'veterans' card failed, and failed utterly..

Hitler was wrong.
Ted Cruz repeatedly lied for 21 hours and the only people who believed him were the teabaggers in Texas. They seem to be a little slow on the uptake in the Lone Star State but the rest of America knows he lied and we will never forget.
