American veterans are not willingly letting themselves be used by the Tea Party. A low level local Tea Party supporter invited Cruz and Palin. The national organization has denounced these Tea Party interlopers and expressed their concern their organization was being infiltrated by the Tea Party. The majority of veterans hate the Tea Party and Ted Cruz as much as average Americans.

Many of these guys have fought terrorists in Afghanistan - why would they support domestic terrorists????

The propaganda machine has worked on you. Well these "domestic terrorists" will not remain your financial windfall lackeys. Many of them will join the collecting party also.

you are dishonest to repost that, knowing that urban parks are permanently "occupied" by the homeless and mentally ill of no particular political persuasion.
No, that was a left wing protest. Surely you heard of the 99%.

They moved on to a park in Washington DC. The park police didn't see a need to issue citations or remove them.

Billy, I don't care about Boehner. Your typing your diatribe to the wrong person. There is what appears to be a power struggle in the Repub party. Frankly there needs to be a split. Look, I know that does the Dem party good, but for me, i would rather agree with something that gets say 20% and probably more of the vote then be led around by this every two years. The men and women elected then could afford alliances on certain bills that need to be passed. What makes it better, is that the remnant Repub party will be voting closer to the progressive Dems and that will infuriate more and more people and they will finally see they have a real choice. Come on, your whole agenda with Repubs is to kiss the butt of the leftist leaning one and then put a knife in his back when he runs or loses.

You're pretty screwed up, old dude.

You sound like you might have been working for the NJ Rethuglican Party in the special Senate race. They sent out very pretty flyers urging everyone to vote on Tuesday for Looney Lonegan.

Which is fine - except for the fact the election was Wednesday, not Tuesday.

Can't make this stuff up.

The reason open air parks were closed during the shutdown is to protect the monuments from vandalism. Recently, the Lincoln memorial was defaced with graffiti. What do you think the Washington memorials would look like after a week of no protection from the Park Service?
PLEASE... stop and think for yourself. Why do you want to parrot what you hear on conservative talk radio? I challenge you to not listen to Beck, Hannity and Limbaugh for one month... think for yourself... listen to other points of view... then see if you still have this rabid hatred of your fellow human beings (your neighbors and coworkers) or if you develop a little more tolerance for people who do not walk lock step with you.
PLEASE... stop and think!!!!!
Stop and think. Why would the federal government shut down a parking lot at Mt. Vernon or block off a state highway toward Mt Rushmore preventing tourists from taking pictures. Mt. Vernon is privately run. I don't think people will climb Mt. Rushmore to vandalize it.

if Repubs did that on purpose, then that would be wrong. Of course progressives are just so innocent. And I am for freedom. You are not. So I must be screwed up. So as a child of Saul Alinsky that you are, let me type...Saul Alinsky lives!...fencewalkers...Saul says, "Never go outside the experience of your own people"..Prepare yourselves..

So you actually believe that "ALL" veterans are Tea Party advocates? And you say I am drinking the co0l-aid?

DUDE! Start expanding your information gathering. Fox News is not a NEWS organization - in fact, they are banned in Canada from calling themselves a news organization. They must call themselves entertainment!

Expand the universe of information you evaluate and listen to other views that are not bought and paid for by Fox News. Have you ever travelled outside the US? Do you have only one channel on your TV?

Which national organization would that be? I saw a number of veterans organizations. And, yes, there are a great number of veterans in the tea party. One doesn't exclude you from another. Of course, a lefty that categorizes people would have a hard time with that.

I will admit that I have read nothing on the comments you made. Maybe they are true maybe not - most likely the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I don' say that government is perfect. But I do say we need to work together to perfect the government (as close as we can)and not simply shut it down and obstruct at every turn.

I will read up on the Mt Vernon issue and try to find the truth as I understand it. If you are correct then I will readily admit it. I am not a support Obama no matter what guy. I am an Independent - voted for Reagan, Dole, Bush - then Kerry, Obama. Will probably lean left in the next election.

I wouldn't put that past the republicans here. Not one dime of GOP money went to Lonegan. They have the Allen West syndrome, if you know what I mean.:-)

Just like Florida would rather have Grayson, the GOP here would rather have Booker, mayor of the crime capital of north Jersey with 14% unemployment.

Seymour, so you actually believe that all the tea aprty people are just no good and you know what they are really about? Ph uk you about FOX news. I don't watch it. Watch the rest of the 99% of TV that leans progressive. Watch some of FOX prime time progressive lineup of TV shows. Never a statement there. Seymour, start reading books and literature that tell you what happens to nations that do what we are. If it is possible, perhaps you can purchase older ones. Ones that tell you how nations decline. Not the ones that predict a bad way will occur on a certain date, although they will give you a wealth of information. It will awaken you if you are not narrow minded. Yeah, i know what you are talking about when it comes to shill TV stations. As an example...several months ago one of the light skin black broads ranted on MSNBC that we need to go to "COMMUNES" for our children. Screw families. That is because progressives have in essence, destroyed them. Communes! You see the power of the media. Remember, its 99% progressive.

Those examples came up in testimony today at the hearing. I believe the Mt. Vernon parking lot has since been reopened.

The only way to fix the federal government is to limit its size and power.

Lonegan will make a difference. Booker will not. Just status quo. Jersey is facing reduced revenues from the casinos and other ways. Probably has some of reserves to keep going though for a while. How people can keep voting for perpetual ghettos is insane in theory. But improvements in human behavior is a vice in socialistic cultures.

Time heals wounds. Whatever is left of the Repub voting base is not as Saul Alinsky propaganda shilling like you and has more respect for Cruz then Boehner. I don't know Cruz. Only from the progressive insults. Frankly if he is not for freedom, lower taxes and less war like tendencies, he can go also. To attain that we will have to make some changes.

think anyone would throw paint on the Lincoln Memorial, or anybody would write their name on a petroglyph, or fill a pit toilet with trash, chop down trees in a national park, or loot an archaeological site, or do donuts on a trail or empty their septic in stream or steal copper tubing from an HVAC or break windows at a visitor center, or sue the government for their own stupidity on government property etc...

but they do

sht happens and those that are the stewards do what they can and don't deserve to be castigated by a bunch of ideologically driven hypocrites.

But remember it was the idiot teabaggers who shut down the government, forcing these choices. And the teabaggers who forced the sequester which cut the budget of the Park Service to 2008 levels.
