It is common and proper protocol, head of state or not, and certainly in Japan where it is a matter of manners.
in japan you bow to everyone. and they bow back.

sorry. you can look it up, or you can keep lying cuz you are unable to admit you are wrong, but it is not protocol for another head of state to bow to a king or queen.

doesn't mean it is a horrible thing to do, or it showed weakness, but the state dept certainly did not tell obama this is how to great the king...

Yo Car johnny, with your education that hasn't passed grade two. You fixate on basic bodily functions, as a second grader does when he is playing with his school yards buddies. Well done.

You show us all and put on your brown shirt, slip on your jackboots, grab your copy of Mein Kampf and head south.

America doesn't deserve a person of your ilk.

It depends, in Japan.

And the kind of bow depends on the situation, there are several kinds.

I lived there for six months.

You?

Obama did not know how to bow properly.

It is.

And there wasn't a whisper when Eisenhower or Kennedy or Ford or Regan was doing it.

Try as you might, car johnny, your intellect leaves much to desired. Your posts are filled with fourth grade references to bodily functions. It figures though living in the ghetto does stifle one's intellectual prowess. After all having to roll off your divan at 11:00, to head for the store for your morning bottle of Ripple, hell of a hard day...car johnny!!

every muslim that supported al Qaeda is to blame for 9/11.
Scared that there are more people out there as stupid, racist, and dishonest as you are.

I've already noted that I'm not religious, much less a Muslim, so I will expect you to stop lying about me.

Thanks.

Let me know the minute you find anything that proves Obama broke protocol by bowing.

If you are familiar with US military service, one is *required* to salute a higher rank (officer).

Required.

There is nothing to prohibit saluting someone of equal rank or even lower rank.

Of course: the dust up comes from the right wing who are caught up in reminding that Obama once said 58 states even though of course it was obvious that he meant 48. The right forgets that presidents have been bowing to other heads of states well since Eisenhower.

The right forgets the Bush bowed even deeper before the casket of the Japanese emperor, BOWED BEFORE THE POPE, and vomited on the Japanese PRIME MINISTER.

Protocol: nothing more than official manners, a set international rules of courtesy.

Funny how the only people complaining are a handful of Americans.
