just plain not believable that US intelligence did not know within hours what was happening on the ground in benghazi. for this admin to say that intel changed its mind a week later is blatantly false. and then biden says that intel will definitely know exactly when iran will have nuke capability. which is it joe? are they incompetent on something as simple as what happened in libya and competent on something so complex as iran?

And why are you trying to base this entire election on the Embassy attack when all the facts are not out there yet? If the Embassy had two prior attacks, it should have been better protected by the Iraq Government paid to protect it. Or better yet, the Ambassador and the others moved out of there. It was not even a forfeited compound but a small consulant. If the Ambassador felt threatened, why didn't he leave? These are questions we do not know yet. And neither does Newt Gingrich.

We have at least 6-7-8 different Intel Agencies.

From what evidence and testimonies that have been given the State Dept Intel unit knew exactly what was going on.As confirmed by a Ms. Lamb this week. She watched it unfold via live video as she testified to.

The questions are.
* When did Hillary get informed ? Lamb works for her.
* When did Clapper , NID , get informed ?
* When did the CIA get informed ?
* Did WH NSA Donilon get informed ?
* If Donilon knew did he tell Obama ?

After 911 cross agency intel sharing was supposed to happen most quickly.

First of all get off Iraq it was Libya.

The ambassador was just doing his duty and you fault him .
He had obviously been doing his duty for some time without proper security and the State Dept D.C. was aware of his concerns and Mr. Nordstrom's concerns about security as he had twice requested upgrades.

What a friggin' cop out.

The WH is waiting for a new template on Benghazi. The last time it published before proof reading a filmmaker was put into jail.
That was after the Ambassador was buried.

Panetta: Terrorists 'clearly' planned Benghazi attack

From Barbara Starr
Adam Levine, CNN
Thu September 27, 2012

Washington (CNN)-- This month's deadly assault on the U.S. Consulate in eastern Libya was clearly a planned attack by terrorists, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Thursday.

"As we determined the details of what took place there and how that attack took place, it became clear that there were terrorists who planned that attack," Panetta said.

Speaking to reporters at the Pentagon, "There's a lot of different kinds of terrorism in that part of the world," he said.

It's the administration's latest assessment of the September 11 consulate attack that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans. The incident fueled increased global scrutiny of the North African nation and increased political sparring in the United States over the investigation into who was behind it.

Wrong as Usual.
Biden slammed for insisting Libya consulate DIDN'T ask for more security before deadly attack despite officials' worries
By Hugo Gye
PUBLISHED: 12 October 2012
FALSE: Biden said 'we weren't told' that the consulate had asked for more security
FALSE: Insists intelligence reports linked raid to protests against YouTube video
TRUE: Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed in attack, wrote cable warning militias could turn against U.S. on day he died
OPINION: Mitt Romney argues failings show Obama administration is incompetent
Joe Biden is under pressure after insisting that the U.S. consulate in Benghazi did not ask for additional security before it was attacked on September 11 - despite what diplomats and State Department officials have said.
Paul Ryan spent much of last night's vice-presidential debate hitting out at the administration's handling of the Libya assault which killed ambassador Chris Stevens and four other Americans.
The Vice President defended the government's handling of the crisis and denied that the State Department had turned down a request for security reinforcements in the months before the raid.
The lively debate exchange came just hours after presidential candidate Mitt Romney launched his own denunciation of Barack Obama's response to the attack, saying the administration 'failed to grasp the seriousness of the challenges that we face'.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Stevens himself expressed concerns about security at the facility.
Also, the head of a special operations team helping out with security asked for 'more, not less' reinforcements before the government pulled dozens from Libya earlier this year.
This is a clear sign of the Administrations Incompetence.

==========
One person under oath said he made an oral request for additional security to someone, but there was NO formal request which would be a matter of official record.

Romney is misrepresenting the facts trying to make it seem the President had knowledge of some formal request that never existed. Requests for small security details don't even come to the President, especially the non-formal ones as in this case.

Iraq? My, my, my, my. Now we see why you're so confused.

It's Libya.
Did you know Benghazi is in Libya?

The Ambassador himself wrote that he feared for his life and asked for Security but somehow Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Barack Hussein Obama were too busy. That's Unacceptable!

The performance of Vice President Joseph Biden in the last debate against Ryan was illustrative as to why this WH has been wrong on every issue. I don't want four more years of this.

Good question easy answer, after Obama's epic record breaking failure to engage his magnificent brain for his first debate, no further attention was needed. Peoples minds were made up. The polls show it and are basically all trending to Romney. Thanks for asking.
