That's just it! Cut the waste and it wouldn't take 23%. Entitlements are why taxes are as high as they are.
Beat me to it! EXACTLY! If the out of control spending is stopped there wouldn't be a need for 23% tax rate. I bet we would be looking at 10-12% tops. Cut all liberal arts funding (DoEd, NPR, Endowment of Arts, etc), cut all entitlement spending, eliminate Social Security (when implemented it was never meant to remain, it was TEMPORARY), eliminate ObamaCare, reduce/cut/eliminate the EPA, privatize NASA,...

The reason for 91% in the 1950's was to pay for more than 10 years of war, supporting S.Vietnam, rebuilding Germany and S.Korea, and the depression. Also to support FDR entitlements he was so gracious with everyone else's money.

Spot on!

Just as an aside, in addition to social security, income tax was meant to be temporary as well. It is beyond repeal now, but as you stated 10-12% would suffice. That's significantly better than what we face today and light years better than what we face tomorrow.

I hope they bought plenty of Ammo. It's the ammo they are gonna need more than the guns. I personally have 10,000 rounds for these liberal bastards. I figure one of us for each 10,000 of them will wipe them out quite effectively and should take less than a week. We wiped out the worlds 8th largets army in less than 2 weeks, wiping out the liberal Cancer should be a cakewalk compared to Iraq 1.

Liberals? You read that re-read it. Your Liberal Tyrant is soon gonna lose all control when the Dollar hits Zero and the people rise up, and for every single one of you there are 10 of us with Guns and plenty of Ammo, and unlike you liberal pissants, we have the motivation to use them, and we definitely have plenty of practice.

ALso remember than when that Day comes you will be facing our Military Heroes both retired and Active and they are very highly trained in eliminating vile elements like you, and they too will have no qualms at all about doing it.

You see? We don't give a fuck about your feelings, we don;t give a fuck what your malfanction is...all we DO give a fuck about is what you did to the former USA and when war breaks out your gonna repay this former Country for what you did to it with your lives!

Maybe Homeland Security needs to see your post. Threats of treason, insurrection, and violence interest them, or so I've heard.

Granted, you're probably just another noisy N. Carolina stump-jumper, but you could have yourself a little militia down there, I suppose. Or plans for a shootout with cops.

I'd go easy with the loud public threats, in any case.

With the exception New Mexico, the ten poorest (HIGHEST WELFARE) states all voted for Romney. So much for out of touch Mitten's nitwit theory about losing due to "gifts from Obama."
1. Mississippi
2. West Virginia
3. Arkansas
4. Kentucky
5. Alabama
6. Tennessee
7. Louisiana
8. New Mexico (Blue)
9. South Carolina
10. Oklahoma

Not only was Obama strong in states with the highest percentage of college graduates, he was also strong in states with the highest average household incomes. For example, the five states with the HIGHEST average household incomes (which, not coincidentally, were also among the states with the highest percentage of college graduates).
Maryland $67,469
New Hampshire $67,287
Connecticut $67,165
New Jersey $65,072
Massachusetts $62,809
Virginia $62,776

"Based on Census Bureau estimates, the nationís white population, which was 85 percent in 1960 and 63 percent in 2011, will drop to minority status, about 47 percent, in 2050. Latino population, only 3.5 percent in 1960 and 17 percent last year, is projected to rise to 29 percent by then, while Asian-Americans, less than one percent 52 years ago and 5 percent last year, is seen as rising to 9 percent in 2050. The trend of fast-rising Latino population is happening in other traditionally Republican states such as Arizona and Texas."

In Iowa and New Hampshire, states without big minority populations, Obama won by gaining the support of nearly six in 10 women. Obama won 71% of the Asian-American vote. From the exit polls, President Obamaís support from men slipped a few points from 49% four years ago, but women supported the president over Romney by 55% to 44%.

Obama also improved his Hispanic performance in Florida, a result that included dominance of the heavily Puerto Rican swing precincts around Orlando and the election of a Cuban American Democrat to Congress, symbolizing the end of the GOPís decades-long lock on that community. In 2012, the share of the Latino vote rose to a record high 10%, a number thatís doubled in the past 16 years. President Obama won about 8.4 million Latino votes, using a rough calculation based on exit-poll data. Romney captured no more than 3.44 million votes.

Think about your statement. It's hard to stop 10000 people per day from turning 65. That is a correct statements. You just need to think of the results of it. Think about the Baby Boomers and tell us how Social Security can survive. Raise the retirement age? People are living longer. That's putting a band aid on a bullet wound.

First, you would be wrong, because I feel the same.
Second, you calling his statements irrelevant and deranged, doesn't make it so. It simply shows that you have no rebuttal of substance.

It seems everything is to be sacrificed - including the instinct to comprehend what one hears or reads - if it conflicts with their love and "SOPPORT" of government.

What I mean is, the person you are responding to is clearly not defending Koresh yet you choose to make that claim or you are unable to make any other to justify the government demolishing, shooting into, and tear gassing a building full of men, women, and children on US soil.

Unfortunately for them the bullet would they are now facing is going to explode their empty heads and reduce them to a bloostain on the ground. Think I'll log for awhile and drive out to the field to put a few practice rounds downrange. I need a little moving target practice to warm up. Think I'll try for a one inch dot on the head of that mover from 800 yards today. If I can ping that I've still got it even after a week! Later on.:-)
