FACTS !! Since when have facts ever had anything to do with the great GOP swindle of taxpayers money for "wars for oil and power" ???!!!
Most Republicans wouldn't know a fact if they tripped over it leaving a toilet cubicle after a foot shuffle.
The saddest part is that we've been securing corporate interests in the name of eliminating communists, terrorists, or other such extremists for well over a century.
To quote my great great great .... grandfather Henry Clay:

"The arts of power and its minions are the same in all countries and in all ages. It marks its victim; denounces it; and excites the public odium and the public hatred, to conceal its own abuses and encroachments".[1834]

You don't get it. The yellowcake was no longer under Saddam's control. The U.N. had taken control of it before the 1991 Gulf War. Saddam had no control over it. READ THE FULL STORY.
Wrong. The yellow cake was discovered by US troops after the 2003 US invasion of Iraq at the Tuwaitha Nuclear Research Facility south of Baghdad, and was placed under the control of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Where did you get your information? Read the article. Read the full story.

"Israeli warplanes bombed a reactor project at the site (Tuwaitha) in 1981. Later, U.N. inspectors documented and safeguarded the yellowcake, which had been stored in aging drums and containers since before the 1991 Gulf War. There was no evidence of any yellowcake dating from after 1991, the official said."

If the police find a gun in your car and say "It's not mine, it's not even my car.", you still get in trouble. Saddam still had the product in his land and still could use it weather he controlled it or not. He knew where it was and had could and did use it for leverage when he talked with the Egyptian terror group which is now al-Qaeda.

Yes, I agree. But "Laughing Liberal" still wants to argue that the yellowcake was not even discovered until 2003.

No, I simply dispute any claims that the UN controlled anything in Iraq under Saddam Hussein's rule.

They simply did not have the manpower to take over a state run facility so it was under Iraqi control.

Your exact words were: "The yellow cake was discovered by US troops after the 2003 US invasion of Iraq at the Tuwaitha Nuclear Research Facility south of Baghdad, and was placed under the control of the International Atomic Energy Agency."

Yes, which should make you ask...where were the UN (or even IAEA forces) you claim had "control" of this material if US Troops found it?

Here's your quote:
The yellow cake was no longer under Saddam's control. The U.N. had taken control of it before the 1991 Gulf War. Saddam had no control over it.

That's my point.
This was still Saddam's yellow cake.

Jeeez....

He had his cake but couldn't eat it.

Seriously, you reichwingnuts do this act of appearing clueless and stupid so well that it's almost good enough for a Grammy.

"Yellowcake" needs a LOT of VERY HI-TECH gear to make it into anything even remotely resembling weapons-grade material.
Saddam did NOT have this equipment.(Thank you, Israel.)
Saddam did NOT have the means to obtain this equipment (Thank you, UN.)
Saddam did NOT have the DESIRE to obtain this equipment.(Thank you, sanity.)

You truly are a libtard, aren't you Boudu?
Saddam did NOT have this equipment.(Thank you, Israel.)
Saddam did NOT have the means to obtain this equipment (Thank you, UN.)
Did Saddam have access to the international community? Did Saddam have a country with porous borders? How hard would it have been to smuggle the equipment in? How hard to get the knowledge?

How did Pakistan get it? How did North Korea get it? How did the USSR get it? How did France get it? Inquiring minds want to know...

Carry on Renou...
Anyway, how are your friends doing:
24-30 by suicide bomber in Abu Munasir, Abu Ghraib
IBC Incident k10475
Type suicide bomber
Deaths recorded 24-30
Targeted or hit funeral for Karim Ismael, head teacher
Place Abu Munasir, Abu Ghraib
Date and time 14 May 2008, 6:30 PM
Whatever you do in Iraq, do not mourn the life of those that died, it seems the mourners are next in line. You truly must be happy about that.
