"" not enough time to get every project that an elected official wants done ""

(( Elected officials cronies )) and their Pet Projects.
What about the Streets of Carlsbad the ones with"" Potholes and Curbs and Gutters Falling Apart, Grass and Weeds growing in them "" these streets are 4 blocks west of Downtown Carlsbad.
Visitors come to Carlsbad seeing these "" Dirty Rundown Streets "", they also see all of these "" Dirty Rundown Buildings "" that need to be condemned and tore down, if visitors see an empty clean lot in a good location gives them incentive to build here in Carlsbad.

Well J.R. that's because you spent most of your time arguing with and sending expletive laced emails to the air provider at the airport.

what is the status of law suit for slander that JR caused against the City.... Did the City pay $$$$ to settle?
Could the settlement $$$$ have bee used to fill a pothole

or
pave an entire street?

No Simple 45 a tort claim that was filed is not a lawsuit. I take it that Kalstorff did not want to file the suit because it is really hard to win a slander lawsuit when someone is telling the truth.

At least SOMEONE has the balls to do it! It appears that our gutless wonder of a city leader Janeway capitulated to the NM airline guy's attorney and we're all stuck. Will we ever get rid of snoopy's airlines? I'll drive an hour to Hobbs any day before I'd even try to fly out on the doghouse with wings that serves Carlsbad. I don't care if I have to go to Houston first.

We need real jet service from Carlsbad to Dallas or Houston. What is the problem City and Carlsbad Development Department, why cant you grow a pair and get out there and find us real air service?
BS is what it is

I agree that we need a different provider, but handle it with maturity and class.

B/C no one in the city (mayor or his attorney & manger) has the guts to piss off the NM air guy (cept Doporto, who is just one guy of eight (?) votes). That guy that runs "snoopy air" as you call it (btw...thats funny!) fights real dirty and has everyone @ city hall pyssin in their boots.
.
I'm told CDOD just does what the city tells them to, so dont expect them to tree this coon unless mayor sicks them on it- which aint gonna happen.

Aristotle Jason is good I will agree with that however Sandra I bet you cannot name 1 thing she has done for her Ward since being on the council. We need people who are going to stand up for the community and let the people of Carlsbad know what is going on. No secrets need to be kept from the tax payers. Someone needs to make some noise up in there. This is why I like Doporto the airline guy was walking all over that council and the Mayor and no one said a thing but Doporto he was sticking up for the tax payers he went a little over the line but I bet they put him in check. When the issue on raises went to the press that would have happened unless someone spoke up again it was Doporto. The police union threw the Mayor under the bus who spoke up again Doporto.

I have personally known J.R. for the vast majority of our lives. He is a good guy, but the immaturity he used in dealing with the airport fiasco is hard to forgive.

So much for the Airport fiasco hurting Doporto looks like he just got through the election clean slate it did not bother me. have you seen Chris Christy talk shit to people and get sued. Hipp Hipp OHRAYY for him being on the council.

I have never a had a problem flying from here to Alburquerque, once I was the only passenager. Just like flying in a private plane for $98 one way, can't beat that..
