Ever notice how the left lives in a bubble? They are never exposed to other views and opinions. Even the title of the thread; if you have no good arguments then defame your opponents.

Evolution isn't based on views and opinions. I do agree with you on the left living in a bubble but so does the right. That's why I'm neither and get completely left out of any political discussions.

History is what it falls under. To ignore the fact the creationism and intelligent design aren't worthy of teaching indicates the need to brainwash the children with liberal ideals. Oh wait, that's what public schooling is all about. Indoctrination! Libturds bellyache that church indoctrinates, but public school is just as guilty since it insists that everyone is equal.

No, proper science is neither liberal nor conservative. It is simply science, a tool to find out how things work in our universe.

Some extremists do not like the fact that science shows that we share a common ancestor with every living creature on the Earth. Tough. Some extremists did not like it when Galileo gave evidence that the Earth was not the center of the universe. They were wrong then and they are wrong now.

Cry me a friggin river, CBOW.

Different creation MYTHS are indeed presented in Public School classes such as "Comparative Religions". What is NOT taught is Christianity -- to the exclusion of other religions -- in public school classes.

BECAUSE IT IS AGAINST THE LAW.

The church absolutely indoctrinates. That is their job.
Public schools cannot favor any one religion. This means that if they are to teach the Genesis account of Creation in the aforementioned "Comparative Religions" (or similar) class, they MUST ALSO teach a handful of other, diverse religious creation myths.

yet there are no facts at all to support either creationism nor ID. not one single fact.

there is actually nothing that could be taught out side of pure mythical religious dogma, which has no place in our public schools or rational society as a whole.

as you said it, those two are not worthy of teaching. they are pure myths with not one single fact to back them up.

public schools are not places to teach religious myths.

Irony meter go boom. Unfortunately CB, IDC is neither history nor science. It is in fact a tool specifically invented for the express purpose of indoctrination. Pointing this out has nothing to do with either 'liberal' or 'conservative' values. The reason being is that science works the same way for both camps. Water boils at a hundred degrees no matter what your beliefs or who you vote for. Evolution is science no matter what your beliefs or who you vote for. Intelligent Design Creationism is not science no matter what your beliefs or who you vote for. Science works. Pseudo-science doesn't.

Sorry if you don't like it.

Yes, it's interesting that you oppose teaching everyone is equal and promote pseudo-scientific pseudo-history that teaches Christians are superior everyone else even though the Constitution prohibits Governmental support of one religion over another. The only obvious conclusion is that you (and all those who agree with you) hate education, hate science, hate freedom and hate America.

There are other countries who have an established theocracy. Perhaps you could try living in one of those?

There was nothing defamatory in either the article or the thread title, since it's based on a VIDEO of what HE said himself. The guy says he has no problem with teaching creationism in public schools even though it's not only MONUMENTALLY stupid but also illegal.

But then, it's not the first time you've been caught with your pants down over video footage of anti-science fruitcakes you happen to be promoting. Is it, Bri?

Yes defamatory, like saying teaching creationism in public school is illegal. And false.

I was not incorrect. The ONLY way it could be taught legally is if:

1 - It was done in a comparative religions class (as pseudo-science is not suitable for science class)

2 - If ALL OTHER religions were taught EQUALLY with equal time devoted to each and every one.

I'm just astonished .... but sadly not really TOO surprised .... that Brian was unaware that teaching Creationism/ID in US public schools was illegal.

Then again, having evidenced his anti-science rants (including Global-warming denial), perhaps I should have expected it.

i've chatted with Brian before. his understanding of his own country would not be enough to pass a citizenship test, if he were ever to take one...sad, really. and wholly lacking in civic duty.
