Wow. Forget about the fact the patriot act was extended another 4 years. Let's concentrate on the pen that was used to sign it. What a stupid bunch of people we have in this country that think like this.

No. 3: Federal agents are authorized to use hidden devices to trace the telephone calls or emails of people who are not even suspected of a crime. The FBI is also permitted to use its Magic Lantern technology to monitor everything you do on your computer--recording not just the websites you visit but EVERY SINGLE KEYSTROKE as well.

No. 4: Government agents are permitted to arrest and detain individuals "suspected" of terrorist activities and to hold them INDEFINITELY, WITHOUT CHARGE, and WITHOUT an ATTORNEY. No. 5: Federal agents are permitted to conduct full investigations of American citizens and permanent legal residents simply because they have participated in activities protected by the First Amendment, such as writing a letter to the editor or attending a peaceful rally.

No. 6: Law enforcement agents are permitted to listen in on discussions between prisoners and their attorneys, thus denying them their Constitutional right to confidential legal counsel.

No. 7: Terrorism suspects may be tried in secret military tribunals where defendants have no right to a public trial, no right to trial by jury, no right to confront the evidence.

No. 8: The CIA is granted authority to spy on American citizens.

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS THE NEWEST REICH AS ITS SECURITY LAWS ARE QUITE SIMILAR TO THE LAST REICH IN GERMANY THAT WAS DESIGNED ALSO TO KEEP IN POWER A FINANCIAL ELITE WHO HAD NO ANSWERS TO THE PROBLEMS THAT FACED GERMANY EXCEPT TO GO TO WAR AND TURN WORLD-WAR INTO AN INDUSTRY AS HAS NOW HAPPENED IN THE UNITED STATES, THE LATEST NEW REICH.

Patriot Act vs. German Enabling Act: The Decrees of 1933: from Furniture for the People, May 25, 2005

1) How the Patriot Act Compares to Hitler's Erm鋍htigungsgesetz (Enabling Act)

On March 23, 1933, the newly elected members of the Reichstag met in the Kroll Opera House in Berlin to consider passing Hitler's "Erm鋍htigungsg esetz". The "Enabling Act" was officially called the 'Law for Removing the Distress of the People and the Reich.'

Opponents to the bill argued that if it was passed, it would end democracy in Germany and establish a legal dictatorship of Adolf Hitler. To soften resistance to the passing of the Enabling Act, the Nazis secretly caused confusion in order to create an atmosphere in which the law seem necessary to restore order.

On February 27, 1933, Nazis burned the Reichstag building, and a seat of the German government, causing frenzy and outrage. They successfully blamed the fire on the Communists, and claimed it marked the beginning of a widespread terrorism and unrest threatening the safety of the German "Homeland." On the day of the vote, Nazi storm troopers gathered around the opera house chanting, "Full powers - or else! We want the bill - or fire and murder!"

The Nazis used the opportunity to arrest 4,000 communists. Not only did the Nazis use the incident as a propaganda against communists but they also arrested additional 40,000 members of the opposition. Consequently, the Nazis had achieved their objective of eliminating democracy and ensuring their majority in the parliament.

2) A 21st Century Comparison of The Enabling Act and The Patriot Act

Last September, German Justice Minister Herta Daeubler-Gmelin pointed out that George Bush is using Iraq to distract the American public from his failed domestic policies. She capped her statement by reminding her audience: "That's a popular method. Even Hitler did that

Most Americans have forgotten that Hitler came to power legally. He and the Nazi Party were elected democratically in a time of great national turmoil and crisis. They themselves had done much to cause the turmoil, of course, but that's what makes the Bush comparison so compelling.

Similar to the Bush administration, the Nazis were funded and ultimately ushered into power by wealthy industrialists looking for government favors in the form of tax breaks, big subsidies, and laws to weaken the rights of workers.

Your watching the police or shall I write "law enforcement" take more and more liberties with the our inalienable rights and you still write partisan politics. For the things that have happened in America this was a two team effort. When men are given access to others, they abuse it because of the human condition. No man has the right to monitor another or interfere with another in their business as pertaining to abusing the laws passed. And that is exactly what happens in every culture this is tried on and leads to something worse. People use others weaknesses or perceived weaknesses against them to destroy dissent. In this case you have the possibility of so called government workers becoming massive voyeurs. And they will. Even science fiction has written about this. It ends up weakening mens wills. Destroys spirits. And leaves the people affected open to tyranny and eventual takeover by some other force or power. This forced on the American people by men who used box cutters to achieve a goal that somehow our american spy and police services fell asleep on even after several warnings. Just look at the public side of our nation's culture. The television programming is filled with every defect we have as a people. The famous have very little recourse and the poorer are on springer like programs that is totally disgraceful. The encroachment on the swath of middle America is inevitable and the way many people act today in public proves it. Yesterday a lawyer for an accused baby killer was accidently tripped by a camera person and his reporter friend was relentless claiming rights of the press with the lawyer and his people angered. Of course this is acceptable. But let that happen to an important political, financial, royalty, zionist, industrial and everything else in real power and it is a different parameter. Those same rights don't exist. We are destroying ourselves. And the traitors we elect have different masters then us. Once we mind our own business, then the pressure will deflate big time. Empires have problems with that.

How's that carbon footprint, Mr. President?

Michelle had to fly home ALL BY HERSELF, funded by taxpayers.

If the First Lady can't handle the whole trip, Just don't go.

We, who are struggling to pay our mortgages, bills have to fund these excursions for the First Lady and her family.

IT'S A WASTE OF TAXPAYERS' MONEY!

oh, and added pollution, too!

And the ones that are not quiet about it are out there making excuses for the extension.

It just goes to show how far we have fallen. Nobody cares for their freedom that is protected in the constitution. They only care about who has a D or R after their name. Adding to the left right paradigm. Not what is and is not constitutional.

I just found this article. I always knew I liked Lech Walesa! Guess old Lech won't be the American liberals poster boy any more?

Lech Walesa snubs Obama, fellow Nobel winner
May 27 08:03 AM US/Eastern
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...
"Lech Walesa, Poland's Solidarity-era legend, ex-president and 1983 Nobel Peace Prize winner said Friday he would not accept an invitation to meet with fellow Nobel winner US President Barack Obama.

"It's difficult to tell journalists what you'd like to say to the president of a superpower. This time I won't tell him, I won't meet him, it doesn't suit me," Walesa told Poland's public broadcaster TVP."
