Hayden's and Mukasey's objections to restraints on the various protections imply that law enforcement personnel may be many things, but not professionals. Professionals do their jobs within its restraints; if those restraints change, they adapt accordingly. Hayden and Mukasey have political agenda with nothing to do with national security. Paradoxically, right-wingers so concerned about "freedom" seem to support policies which erode civil liberties.
