I understand its where dirty air or air with "nasty stuff" keeps being circulated through the building over and over. It is a ventilation problem.

It has something to do with it being a central air system. You know how they tell you to have your vent ducts cleaned once a year. It the same process if you dont do it in buildings,(even homes) with a centeral air system then stuff starts growing. YOu dont do it for a year you might be ok but after a while you get dust that starts gowing mold, keep repeating and the particles filter in the air and you are breathing that stufff. Then you get sick. Classic syndrome

I am very concerned with these issues. My spouse is having problems with breathing to the point that has caused trips to the hospital & doctors for treatments & at times has required hospitalization. Something has to be done before more health problems arise & more workers or customers will have to see doctors or be hospitalized. People want to blame breathing problems on smoking, but what about those that do not smoke? My spouse does not smoke & is not around second hand smoke, but yet has difficulty breathing & other lung problems.
Anhyone that has worked in the Mercer County DHHR building or has been there with someone or for their own personal reasons can tell you that the place is very hard to breath in and at most times has a very weird smell in the air. It is hot and stuffy in there at most times. If it is the ventilation system, then for God's sake replace it, upgrade, clean it or whatever it takes. Why should people's health be at risk. No one should have to work or visit a building such as this. Someone do something!!!

I figured that it meant that something was growing in the ventilation system, but they don't mention what it might be. I assumed it was mold, but I wonder what kind? Some types of mold are deadly.

Mercer County Health Department is in terrible need of renovations also. I think that it is a real shame that the people who are supposed to help and protect others in our community are subject to these kinds of conditions. Not to mention that the people that they serve are subjected to them as well.

My wife and I were in Princeton a few days ago. Didn't see any sick buildings, but we ate a very interesting restaurant. If you visit Princeton you must check out Jimmie's Restaurant. It is a dining experience you'll never forget.

If u people remember correctly that building was built on a big swamp, thats the problem the moisture is seeping up into the building causing mold problems and hard to tell what else

Oh, come on. There really is no need to bash people who get services from the DHHR.

You may think it is funny, but when you see an elderly person doing without food because they are too ashamed of what people will think of them to go to the DHHR to get assistance, it isn't.

Old people arent the ones that smell bad...I worked with the public for over 6 years and its the 20-50 year old crowd that cant figure out how proper hygiene works.

I worked in electronics at a local Department store and it infuriated me when I would see people come in that was on welfare and mental disability and they would buy xbox games and cds instead of soap and shampoo and things for their children...All you have to do is pretend to slit your wrist and act crazy and you will get a little check every month. A check that you and I pay for so I think I do have a say.

I worked with truly mentally ill peeople and let me tell you if I saw any of my clients working there I would noteat. End of discussion I would walk out without eating even if i had already paid for ti.

That wasn't the point. You said:

"Its all the stinky people in there. They think that bars of soap cost too much."

You didn't specify who you were talking about. People read things like that and do not want to be seen in that light, nor seen in relation to it.
