GZ dwellers cryin' out loud
Luxury isn't all it's cracked up to be. The lone residential building at the Ground Zero site is now at the epicenter of near 'round-the-clock construction noise -- with tenants in the high-end 90 West St.

Idiots who move into construction zones and then complain are akin to people who move into overflight areas, and complain about planes. You can't build silently-- and train work has to be done nights & weekends-- you can't stop the rails during peak loads. The main building work is from 7 am to 3:30 pm-- but the Memorial HAS to be open on time, or the GC is looking at a loss of 35 million a day. Poor little yuppie-- can't sleep-- who told him to move in there? Put in a pair of earplugs, just like all of us working folk who live close to traffic, trains, and other noise sources. You wanna be in a luxury apartment downtown, then you better realize that the lifeblood of this city is construction-- and for at least the next 5 years, there are MASSES of construction projects ongoing downtown. Wait until we start the Brooklyn- WTC LIRR tunnel- even dirtier, noisier, and more concrete rolling. Get used to it. It's part of what defines REAL New Yorkers from whiny, yappy yuppy wannabes.
