Not enough can be said about the hard work and dedication to all the responders since this all started. Please lets not forget that this had to happen sooner or later, and that arm chair quaterbacking the fire management is useless and counter productive
Except when it is

completely justified. Two months of doing nothing except ignoring the problem and making excuses caused this huge waste of chicken with its head cut off resource purge.

So you have all the facts about what the officials based their decision on? Two months of doing nothing? You're an idiot
Except you are the idiot

RMNP officials had this extremely low on their priority list. Ask some of the individuals within the RMNP hierarchy how much they were begging to get this fire moved up on the list of priorities. Instead Von Half-Baked was waiting for snowfall to put it out. Because of course he can predict the weather.

They claim the helicopters were mostly being used to rescue stranded firefighters. If the fire wasn't moving or worth worrying over, why were firefighters being stranded? Make up your minds.

V-Half-Baked claims this was the perfect combination of unavoidable elements. A "perfect storm". Beware when anyone uses this particular combination of words. It means they are a moron. One of the elements that created this "perfect storm" of incompetency was V-Half-Baked ignoring it until it got out of control.
Well since you

know so much about fighting forest fires in extremely remote and rugged areas you should probably volunteer yourself at the next meeting for constant fire consultation. People who have been trained in this type of incident definetly dont know as much as you right?

Since you are so up on all the innerworkings of park officials how about naming some that were "begging to get this fire moved up on the priorities list". And of course since Vonn could predict the weather I'm sure that you could've predicted that instead we would be looking at snowfall levels that are some of the lowest in our history at this point. I can't believe that they didn't ask our local weather and fire expert too what they thought.

Here's a concept, and I know it will be hard for you since you likely are old, retired and have nothing better to do with your time than criticize those who are in charge, let the experts do their job and stay the f**k out of the way.

The park/fire officials made it pretty clear that this fire was in a very remote and dangerous location with respect to fire fighter safety. The fire was spreading away from developed areas. It's pretty easy to see why they took the actions/or inactions in this case. But again, I'm sure you know more about what it takes to fight fires than they do so of course we will all pay your armchair qb'ing lots of attention. If you honestly think that they did not pay it any attention than you are seriously mis-informed. I feel bad for first responders and others that are left to defend their decisions made to idiots like yourself.
You are exactly right

We should continue to let this fire burn without putting any firefighters at risk. V-Half-Baked might get paper cuts or hurt his voice reading any more internal memos or being forced to defend his inaction. Look back through the comments secion and see who is jumping on the bandwagon after the fact. I have been calling for more resources to be directed to this fire since it first broke out. So find someone else to direct empty criticism towards, maybe kick your dog. But don't try to tell me I don't know anything, when I know I would rather spend $100,000 to fix a problem before it turns into a million dollar disaster. Obviously you don't even know how to manage your gambling addiction. Go back to AA, loser.
