free fishing in national parks

I must not get out much. i believe in the 1980's we fished inside Yellowstone for free and it was catch and release. When was that changed if anyone knows...also, is there any national parks the do ofter free catch and release fishing?

Tom, Yellowstone N.P. Fishing $35.00 a season,$20.00 7-days,$15.00 3-days. A season is last Sat. in May until Nov. 1st. Artificial lures or flies only with barbless hooks, no lead to be used at all. Cutthroat Trout, White Fish, Grayling are classified as native species and must be released when caught. Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Lake Trout and Brook Trout are classified as non native and may be harvested in some areas. All Lake Trout in Yellowstone Lake , Yellowstone River or it's tributaries must be kept and killed.
