The people are destroying El Paso. Thanks Chamizal. Me and my family have been going to music under the stars the past 11 years and not one incident has happened. People that are not from El Paso are the ones making these decisions.

For a FREEE program, there are alot of complainers on this post. I'm sure it was o.k. and mellow in times past, but like all things, if people start abusing the FREE series, then things went downhill. Excessive drinking, urinating in bushes, bringing in ice chests filled with beer, public intoxication, etc. You get the picture and its not pretty. But then again, why complain about a FREE event, right? Those who want to go, can do so, the others can go to Ascarate.

Let’s be realistic, the only reason that alcohol is ban from this event is because the city and county ARE NOT making any money off the alcohol. I tell you with a straight face that if the city or the county would be making money off any sell of alcohol it would not have been an issue because they are making money. Just look at the sports park as an example, drunks, fights, trash….and it’s not a big deal. Why because they are making money by selling alcohol!
As for the Santana concert, I attended the last one he held in El Paso. As much as I like his music and what he does to promote and give young talent an opportunity to show case their talents, the venue is not a forum for him to discuss his political and religious views. We paid to hear his songs and band. Several people that were there, to include myself will never attend another Santana concert for that reason.
The decision to ban alcohol was made exclusively by the National Park Service, a federal government agency. You simply are mistaken. Furthermore, the city and county can never make money from events on federal land and I don't see them selling alcohol where they could make money like at Album or Nations Tobin or Ascarate. Nope, they banned alcohol there decades ago and they're enforcing it to this day.

The only reason I even drank was to get numb and put up with the high temperatures, mediocre music, allergies, and overcrowding. Besides you family people and church goers/aka lets-cast-the-first-stone, I'm still gonna goto the convenience store across the street and buy the biggest soda they have and put 1/4 Jack, and 3/4 soda!

In a response to being given a civil rights award in Atlanta he had the audacity to say that unemployed Black, Hispanic, and White Americans who want jobs held by illegal aliens are as racist as those who turned the hose and dogs on Martin Luther King and civil rights protesters in the 1960s.
"Well Mr Santana, screw you and your thoughts" you lost a fan forever.
Screw santana and his beliefs of "aztlan" gods, pinche pendejo....."aztlan" who the fk is aztlan any way.... a freaking indian who sacrificed beautiful "culitos" al dios del sol, what a waste!!!.......Que aztlan junto con santana que vayan a rechingar su reputa madre!!!! y que!
