I find it extremely funny that Benjamin lost all of his brown nosing puppets talking for him, they all got out of there to protect their careers or got tired of his backstabbing lying B.S.
When this superintendent talks nothing but BS, don't believe a word he says, he has no puppets to make him look good. Same goes for is chief of interpretation.

Carlsbad management National Park Service joke.

Ha ha ha no formal complaints Ranger Benjamin says!!
Also, I see that all the traffic that leaves the elevators are all directed to the bookstore, so how does the bookstore lose money due to the lack of traffic?
The Rangers their are all frustrated, and some Rangers should leave.
I get an ear full from one Ranger about this, and that there are major problems there.

That's interesting, do you have more specific information?
Some of us cavers in Carlsbad are concerned on how the Caverns are being run.

"cavers in Carlsbad are concerned on how the Caverns are being run."

This superintendent could not care less about the resource, there are very few cave resource management personnel now, they are afraid to rub this superintendent the wrong way, he has budget priorities the Caverns itself fall at the bottom of the list. The caverns along the trail system is slowly dying due to neglect, and when the Caverns health is brought up you get smoke and mirrors and lies.
That is why certain cave resource management got out of there, they were under the superintendents hard hand.

There are caver Ranger personnel care deeply about the resource but their hands are tied, they do not want to be put on the list.

PS: the whistleblower program does not work !

Be a completely dedicated Park Ranger to the protection of the caverns resource and visitors rights to enjoy the resource and be safe, Report hazards to visitors and the caverns resource to management, and get put on the list.

You do not want to be put on the superintendent list.

It looks like this superintendent will be known for the great incompetent elevator blunder of all time on his term. One Ranger says he doesn't even know the names of 3 quarters of the Rangers working there.

Only names he knows are brown nose suck ups, he knows their names real good.

New FTE and seasonal Rangers come into the park and find out how FUBAR that park is they leave, he doesn't even have a chance to learn their names.

Big portion of the upper level supervisory staff at the caverns, they don't want to be at the caverns, they were sent there because they screwed up at another Park, they had a choice be fired or sent to the caverns.

What I understand the caverns is a place where the Park service send people they do not know what to do with.

""Ha ha ha no formal complaints Ranger Benjamin says!!"" Bull sh*t !

Lucy if he only knew half of the problems out there, you would totally lose your mind how did it get this way.

That is a bunch of B.S. when it is busy out there that's the only complaint they have is about the elevators and the weight.

All the motels in Carlsbad that is the complaint, it is about the elevators. They had so many complaints about the elevators they run out of forms, now people have to ask for them.

Now if a visitor complains about a Ranger because that visitor is in a bad mood because of the elevator, that Ranger is in big trouble.

If the superintendent gets a complaint about the park know that never happens BS, it is swept under the carpet never heard about the superintendent's park complaint record is squeaky clean, BS.

Yep if you get complaints from visitors because you are doing your duty what you were trained to do, you get put on the list.

But at the superintendent gets any complaints he doesn't have to worry it's put to the shredder.

Ha ha ha, I was laughing at Ranger Benjamine for saying that there were no complaints, the one Ranger I know says he got a bunch of written complaints, especially when the lines were 2 hours long in the lunch room. But, what happened to them after visitors left them? What the heck would a formal complaint be like he says?

Lucy I find this interesting , all the motels in Carlsbad should have a formal comment form that comes with their room.

I visited the caverns today. One elevator working. Of course there was a line. It was not too bad but that is probably because most of the people had left, and even the café was closed. Seriously disappointed to see so much effort put into the bookstore and gift shop, and so little to the caves. The Rangers down below were on edge the entire time I was there. It ruined my first trip to the caverns.

Oh well. This shows problems in upper management, without a doubt.

In fact, if the caves themselves could speak, they seemed to be depressed. Just my impression after spending all day down there listening.

The Carlsbad cavern Park Rangers used to be all one big family, they enjoyed working out there, now when a new Ranger comes in the first three months they enjoy the cavern resource, but after that they are ready to transfer get the hell out of there.

The reason budget problems and incompetent Superintendent and his lying upper management they have zero respect cannot trust them.

The Superintendent he has chased off all the longtime key professional Park Rangers with a knowledge and skills base, that is stupid.

Do the bats really live in the cave? Bat guano?
Isn't it just a toilet? Bats are rats with wings.
"Like a bat out of hell."
The guy at the Cascades made a trap under his
desk on the floor to keep bats. He is crazy.
Someone makes money from that cave.
The witches?

A Ranger just told me that their is no end in sight for the elevators to be corrected. This is going to be a big hardship for the visitors this Xmas and this Summer. And the superintendent still says no formal complaints? Sounds like he is trying to cover his tale. Sounds like he needs to be fired with not pension, but you know if he does get fired he will get his big pension from the taxpayers expense.

That is how the superintendent gets rid of Ranger's out there, if they get too many complaint from visitors, he will railroad them out of the Park service.

That is what happened to one Ranger out their work for 25 years in the caverns, this ranger did not have one bad work appraisal also saved an visitors life with CPR under very difficult conditions in the caverns , but he still railroaded him out of the Park service,
""So the Park service needs to railroad him out without retirement pension,"" like he did that one professional Ranger.
