Office buildings, schools and towering landmarks were being inspected Wednesday for hidden structural flaws a day after initial checks turned up sparse damage from a rare East Coast earthquake.

I'm glad the East Coast was able to provide Dennis Miller some entertainment from yesterday's earthquake....the jerk.

It's not funny when there is property destruction and life endangerment from falling objects. I found it rather serious.

While California could sleep through a 5.8 earthquake, the residents of Louisa, Virginia were scared. The buildings in Virginia are not "quake proof". There was major damage to homes and schools. Most do not have earthquake insurance and there is no financial help for the families that lost their homes. Virginia has many historic landmarks. Give us a break California!!
