Mitt Romney's analysis of the election results

"It's a proven political strategy, which is, give a bunch of money from the government to a group and guess what? They vote for you." We had thought we wouldn't have to fact-check Mitt Romney again, or at least for a while. Full Story

If Ron Paul would be nominated, he would be president, if Romney would elect - it will be big loose, because everybody has enough all these disasters commited by criminals from usa just like bush, mccain, romney.Ron Paul he as politician and candidate was the only chance for real improvement, one clean boat in the sea of garbage.

Another major company is out, Unions and empolyee's lose... We lose the twinkies, ding dongs and wonder bread because of Obama's policy's to TAX the rich, and get rid of the CO's. that pay the bulk of this Country's bills. You asked for it and now you're going to get it. When great company's like hostess, can no longer operate in this Country because the costs are simply to high, you may all rethink your Votes for the Obam.

You're a moron. Obama hasn't yet "taxed the rich," and the Hostess thing came out of disagreements between management and labor. Too bad the company would rather commit suicide than deal with its workers, but probably someone will buy it or at least the pieces, and re-employ a lot of those people.

Of course, their food is crap, but we all like a Donette or a Cupcake once in awhile, I guess...:)

BTW America is a Christian nation and President Obama won by the GRACE of GOD. You may have lost the election, but be happy that you converted all the evangelicals to Mormonism.

Hostess will re open but not in America. Reorganization was their only resource but they are quitting completely. The product isn't the problem. It the 18.000 employees that are going to be out of work before Christmas, that matter's.I do believe in my State alone 600. And you can bet, that they are probably long term, legal Americans, that are losing these job's. Watch out. The policy's ya'll dreamed for are going to be shoved down your throat's. Enjoy your last twinkie!

As long as all the rich CEOs of the Company walk away with millions in bonuses for making this tough decision is all that is important.

Specifically, the Baker's Union were the one who disagreed on the contract. The Teamsters were aware the company was in difficulty and passed a new contract back in September...>FYI.

What "policy's [sic]?" This was a failure by the company and ONE union. They've been to bankrtupcy court a couple of times and their production capacity had exceeded demand for some time. People aren't eating as much junk food, let's face it.

The CEO will probably by the name for nothing and then have it all manufactured in China where he can get the kind of slave labor rates he has always dreamed about. They were asking all of their unions to take reduced pay and reduced retirement bennifits. IE they already spent the pension money and now want to the Government pick up the tab so they can transfer their operation offshore.

Then they needed to either reduce production, or increase their market. But in the spirit of todays conservative movement they elected to bleed their employees.

Isn't there a CEO retirement fund you should be donating money too? They're hurting real bad :(

Elections have consequences. So does wealth hoarding. It didn't work in the feudal times of kings and peasants and it certainly isn't going to work in modern day times.

As for Hostess fans, I wouldn't start desperately hoarding Twinkies for the coming snackpocalypse. This isn't their first trip through bankruptcy junction. It went through the same process in 2004, back when the company was called Interstate Bakeries, and the flow of snack cakes and Wonder Bread never faltered. The company emerged from that bankruptcy in 2009, renamed itself Hostess Brands, and went a whole two years before doing it again.

Hostess has already secured $75 million in financing to keep operations going during the restructuring
