We have given amnesty before and it has made it worse. We now have 11 million or more illegals in this country.
If we allow the 11 million plus illegals to stay in this country the country will be divided even more. The backlash will never end and there will be no united USA because most of this people have no allegiance to this country. The older illegals don't want anything to do with this country they don't want to make this country better. All this illegals want is to work and send their money to their beloved country of Mexico. The young so called dreamers run around with their Mexican flags praising Mexico and stomping, burning and spitting on our American flag. Are this the people we want is this country? This is a fact, it is all over the internet. It is a sad day in America when politicians bend over for anyone to get the vote. Shame on all of you politicos who support amnesty and illegal immigration.
What about birthright citizenship, anyone and their mother can cross over the border and have a anchor baby which will get automatic citizenship. When will that problem be tackled?
This problem has to be addressed on all angles, including amending the constitution to stop birthright citizenship for anyone that is illegal in this country. The politicos need to fix the whole problem they are just putting a band aid on it.

How about getting rid of birthright citizenship entirely, including those born to American citizens? Make EVERYONE earn their citizenship. Anyone born in America is given a visa which expires on their 21st birthday. In order to earn full citizenship they would have to graduate high school and then complete 2 years of military service. Those who fail to complete that would be given the option of deportation to the country of their choice or they could stay in America on legal resident but with no right to vote or drive or attend college.

I still don't understand how someone can sneak across a border, have a baby behind a macdonalds in Texas, and that baby automatically being a citizen.

that's crazy.

I can't imagine the constitution backs that. I can believe supreme court justices saying it does because of political bias, but not the actual constitution.

I love this idea, but I doubt it would be effective at the real-world level. Too many exemptions, just like the draft.

There is no mistaken McCain's and Rubio's proposal for immigration reform....... it comes down to votes and strictly votes and has nothing to do with the extension of basic Human Right and dignity.
Basically this is the straw that breaks the Camel's back
Base Republicans don't want the competition from Hispanics for Jobs and economic opportunity and the establishment republicans need the cheap labor source that exploiting immigrants offer.
Right...McCain has had his hand in how many immigration reform bills for over a decade now and Rubio's been talking about it ever since he first had a microphone in front of him.
And my party (Dem) isn't pushing this for votes, either, right?
No one in Washington gives a rats ass about human rights and dignity. No one in Washington is ever going to be personally affected by illegal immigration outside of garnering votes. They're the ruling class, they're insulated from job losses to cheap illegal labor. They don't live in neighborhoods turned into multiple rental properties and illegal boarding houses. They're protected, insured and rich enough to suffer no harm when an illegal alien with no insurance slams his truck into their car. And they will never wait in an emergency room for treatment that's packed to standing room only (our local hospital...and it's a big ER), and asked for ID because they're NOT hispanic before they can get treated.
And the Dems don't take money from any industries or businesses that might want immigration law enforcement to turn the other cheek at election time, either. Why, they're as pure and honest as newly fallen snow! The only crooked guys in politics all have R's after their names, right?
Do you ever listen to yourself? Politics is a dirty, crooked game, and they're all CROOKED. R's and D's? That's just a ruse to keep the idiot citizens at each others throats. Divide and conquer.

That's a broad stroke to paint the Mexican and Central American Immigrants with, how about the 4.5 Million from other countries in the world? Some Mexicans who lives in places like Texas and the Southwestern Territory States before America's purchase of the area, have lived on those lands for hundreds of years before there was an America or Texas.

The land that is Texas was populated only because the Mexicans invited people to live in Northern Mexico.

America has always been a land of immigrants and Immigration evolved as America became more civilized. In a system such as America, Immigrants and the exploitation of Immigrants is important to the economic function and success of America.

The GOP fight among themselves will be about that very fact.

When was the last time one of your Friends or Relatives applied for a job Crop Tending?

More importantly, who among you aren't descended Immigrants?

America also used the immigration as a relief valve. Especially during contractions of the economy. That helped to assimilate the men and women who entered America from various backgrounds and cushion the economic malaise. We have had that valve stuck open for many decades now. Massive resources are spent to keep this going from the taxpayer and the taxpayer citizen is treated like a prison inmate by its own government and its agenda. Listening to these bullchitt artists now who have led us into a soft tyranny moving to a hard tyranny will bring mass suffering to the land of milk and honey. Just watching a disaster of any kind strong enough to cause massive anguish is going to be a treat as We will realize what we wrought and what we brought to govern us.

Criminally sneaking over a border wouldn't make them subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, it would make them a trespasser.

If they intended for someone to be allowed to stick their fanny through a hole in a fence to drop their baby on the other side to citizenship, they would have simply written "All persons born or naturalized in the United States are citizens of the United States"

SCOTUS judges vote their politics, not the constitution. Then somehow write up a bit of waffle on their reasons to make it sound justified. Yet 5-4 is the usual vote on contentious issues all the time. With 9 explanations why.

Not sure the Constitution mentions McDonalds - or Texas.

Here's a clue. The Constitutions says whatever the US Supreme Court says it does.

If you reward citizenship to the 12 million illegal immigrants , they will petition 20 million of their relatives to the U.S. The U.S. will give around 32 million people in federal benefits. E-verify! E-verify!

Hey, listen up. Wanna see some shit?
Okay, the city council [small town Fl.]IGNORED the protests of nearly everybody who could fit(and some that didn't) into the council chambers to revise zoning that would allow a big box store in their neighborhood. After all was said and done, they voted for the store! Moral of the story? Bl#w me citizen, we do as we please.
