Cornyn Says Border Dispute Could Sink Immigration Bill

Jun 19, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Free Republic

Sen. John Cornyn , the No. 2 ranking Senate Republican, said Tuesday that if Democrats remain unwilling to strengthen the border-security provisions in the immigration bill, the effort to overhaul the country's immigration laws could 'quickly fall apart'.

If there is any seriousness in reforming the immigration system baring citizenship for the 11 millions living here illegally then that shouldn't be a really big deal for either party border security, E-verify, a system to track visa overstay, guess workers program are all critical matters that needs to be addressed urgently, citizenship for 11 millions living here illegally is not a critical matter for Americans and should be treated as such by law makers on both sides of the isles it is hard believe there are any loving illegal immigrants law maker in either parties without a good reason if illegal immigrants presence has any real significance and meaning to this country then citizenship can be considered when that picture becomes clearer to all,

I have repeatedly said that the demand for amnesty has been the biggest block to immigration reform. Those demanding amnesty have blocked increased border security, e-verify, any system to track visa over stays, changes to guest worker programs, and changes in the visa system.
I guess you must be racist also.

there needs to be but one reform on immigration, enforce all laws and charge folks to the fullest for breaking them. as for the legal immigrants we need no more for along time to come, also we are not to let public charges into the country,we have enough poverty caused by too many people to bring in more or let public charges stay here if they are not citizens.
