Actually, I already knew about that historical event. And many Americans do know about it too. They just see it with pride, as in, "why don't we do it again?"

Magadala could brag about about how the remittances continue to decrease refusing to admit that while important for those poor families that benefited from it, on the magnitude of a country with a GDP of over 1 trillion is not really that much money, And it started to decrease even before they spent all the money they authorized on increasing border control so just like you said before, it is going to be wasted money... Unless they are also planning to use it against other illegal immigrant groups in USA who are now on the rise.
While Mexico will have to worry about what to do with those poor families, it is also true that USA would lose it's most important leverage on Mexico and we might continue to see a more assertive foreign policy on the future.

Rubin is, and always has been a misguided alien lover. He says 100 years ago his parents decided to come here because the US is a superior country. I got news for Rubin, everyone in the world could make that same statement. Just because the US is superior to every other country doesn't justify all those people to come here uninvited, like Rubin's parents did. We should adopt Mexico's immigration policies. We definitely don't need our economy being flooded with cheap labor.
