Illinoisans deserving of 600,000 illegal aliens in their midst

Yesterday's news that the Illinois House passed a bill granting drivers licenses to roughly half of the state's 600,000 illegal aliens should surprise no one in the Land of Lincoln.

i don't see it that way. those in office who side with illegal aliens has nothing to do with the citizens who speak out or those who don't. it is all on those in office who broke their oath showing just how low they have fallen.

anyone in office who has a little self worth or just alittle love of country would not so much as talk to the illegal alien lobby let alone cave.they are not forced to hear these folks they make that choice.

some in office even have illegal alien interns who answer phones and such in their offices, showing a call against illegal aliens will never be heard or fowarded to the right person.

Sorry man, gonna give you the "RED X" for this one it's about the people ever hear of the saying "the sqeaky wheel gets the grease"? thats what we need to be...the sqeaky wheel, if we want to make them hear us we just need a respected national figure/figures to lead the way i just to see them stepping forward on this issue it would seem that no one wants to be labeled a racist or non-progressive or whatever the fear is.
At some point "real americans" need to stand up and take it to the front steps of state capitols of every state in the union.

well then we need a vote after of course putting a proven id of all voters to make sure no illegal votes are cast. this needs to be decided only by citizens with the right to vote. some may not openly speak out do to fear of attacks by illegal aliens and those who support them,so a vote would be the answer.

some of us call email fax and even snail mail those in office to speak out on this issue, yet when trying to go against the pres who takes up for illegal aliens over citizens the calls seem to do little.

If the law is illegal, then it needs to be challenged through proper legal channels. Although states rights have some sway in what laws they are allowed to institute, those laws do not supersede national law nor do they have priority over constitutional law. If the law is illegal, it will be stricken down by the high court of the land.

If you are dissatisfied with the actions of your local officials, recall them from office and don't vote them back onto a position of power and authority. Their opinions do not take precedence over the feelings of the citizens they are elected to represent.

Make them obey the law of the land and if they will not do so, then remove them. On the other hand, those who are in this country illegally put themselves at risk for applying for those licenses because they have to identify themselves as being non-citizens in order to apply. If they are dumb enough to tell the government that they are here illegally in order to get a "license" to drive, then they have no right to complain if the state officials turn that information over to the INS since the state officials are required by law to enforce the law of the land. They take the same risk as those who march in parades and openly declare themselves as being here illegally in the process. Nothing prevents the INS from visiting these events and rounding up those dumb enough to attend when those individuals are in the country illegally. If you really think that Homeland Security will not be watching to see where the big push for getting that license occurs, you would probably be sadly mistaken.

Very interesting thoughts, just not sure we can count on anyone especially HS.

Thanks be that in Texas now you need a US Birth Certificate to get or renew a license. Legal residents need to pony up their Visas or Green Cards and such to get a license.

Same in Utah this year we renewed and was actually happy to find they are asking for our Birth Certificates. Most illegals here get driver privilege cards, with no specific ID required. It's one sided and open for super fraud. Arizona plates are showing up all over Utah. They're moving North because of Brewer.
