Interesting... Of all of these polls, they never asked me! I don't believe this just as I don't believe that mexicans have stopped jumping our borders!!!

I wish people who are waiting to come her legally would start protesting. As a matter of fact, the only reform I would find acceptable is to reform the process for people who have already applied to be here legally. To reward the illegals is to produce more illegal aliens and dilutes our laws!!!

Unlike people who come here illegally those who come here legally will be deported if they are arrested while protesting. It is only illegal aliens that do not have to worry about being arrested.

they wont, another headline reads the amnesty push will begin after the first of the year. Depending on how the cliff talks go,could turn into a real mess.

Magadala-what gave you the idea that it is only "Mexicans" that jump the border? Or that they are the only people here "illegally"? Why don't you go to Mexico and try living there. Unless you are of the minority in that country that has money, you cannot afford to come here "legally". The wages paid to workers is terrible. There is so much corruption and unrest in that country we should be ashamed of ourselves for not helping them get out of that mess. Instead of focusing on our neighbors, we focus on countries across the globe that do not want our help. Reform needs to happen to help the people that really need a new beginning, want to work hard and have a chance at a good life. We forget why our ancestors came here-for that very reason.

Pony droppings, they ask 1,000 people and that is the majority out of 350,000,000?
I know more than 1,000 people all over this country of all walks and persuasions and not a single one of them thinks these criminals deserve anything but arrest and deportation.

funny you say that, i use to live next to a pair of hard core democratics, tow the party line was the only way to think to them, until i ask them one day about illegal immigrants, their views were NOT in line with the party.

My wife of 23 years is Republican, I myself am a Fascist, our 5 adult children are mix of Democrat, Fascist, Libertarian, and 1 Republican and none of us think illegal aliens are deserving of anything but arrest and deportation.

Yup, the leader in DC has instructed ICE to leave his paternal aunt alone, she is an illegal alien from Kenya. Yet, he also denies he knows nothing of his aunt being here much less being here illegally.

Are you one of those people who does not even bother reading the article before commenting on it? That would explain a lot.

Yup, my younger brother married a woman from Mexico 5 years ago. She was in America legally about three years before they met. She said after she finished her trade school/junior college as a draftsperson she wanted to move to America/Texas. She paid roughly $1,000 for assorted forms, fees, and so on and the whole process took over a year before she was granted entry. She had to have a health and criminal check up and show she would be able to support herself.
She moved to Austin, got a job in two weeks where she stil works and she pays her taxes, drives a nice car, has insurance along with registration and inspections on the car, and is a productive menter of society.
Illegal aliens can pay thousands to tens of thousands to be smuggled here and when here are not productive or contributing members of society.

Most of those who come here illegally would not qualify to come here legally for very good reasons. That is why they are willing and able to pay coyotes many times what it costs to come here legally.
It is not all that difficult or expensive for a person to come here legally if they are honest like your SiL obviously is. I have many friends and co-workers from around the world and while they do have to deal with some government BS, mostly from their home countries, they have relatively few problems immigrating.

It goes to show that the problem is not a partisan issue but a law abiding American issue.
