Our immigration laws prohibit the admission of uneducated persons who will become public charges, so, according to Dems, these people are "forced" to enter illegally to be reunited with their families. We have approx 20 million illegals in the US, 60% from Mexico and 20% from Central & South America. Of the more than 1million people who legally immigrate to the US each year, approx 75% are from Mexico. 47% of immigrants who have been in the US for 20+ years are on welfare. 63% of illegal immigrants are on welfare. And to all you that say "illegals can't get welfare"..... Please grow up. To everyone that says "illegals do jobs amercans won't".... There are approx 1.2 agricultural jobs in the the US. An estimated 50% of the work force is illegal. An additional 7 million illegals are working in construction, building maintenance, hospitality, manufacturing, etc....blue collar jobs that USED to support the middle class, but don't anymore because of the reduced wages, caused by a glut of labor willing to work for less than a living wage. We have almost 25 million Citizens who are out of work. It is time for Congress and the President to start representing THEM, and stop Hispandering. It is highly offensive to blue collar, hardworking Americans that citizenship is even being discussed. It's just shameless the way you make stuff up. How embarrassing.

"Hispandering" I'm opposed to a path to citizenship, but what more Americans find offensive are terms like "Hispandering". It may work with the far right wingnuts on Topix, but you're hurting your own cause.

Joseph was an illegal immigrant in the land of Egypt, in the time of famine, it was this illegal immigrant that helped. A time will come that those who you do not want to help today may eventually be the ones you will need tomorrow just like Joseph in Egypt. The whole world is interdependent.

He was sold by his brothers as a slave and taken to Egypt. You've got to quit parroting La Raza propaganda. Most of it is false and stupid, and it makes you look like an idiot.

They all have rights but not the right to travel to someone else's country without the country knowing who they are, if they carry a disease, if they are wanted for a crime and are on the run, if they intend to live in their country off that country's tax payers. These illegal aliens have a country. Stop being lazy and do something about making it better to live in.

Truth Speaker wrote: <quoted text> Hey, Original American, you have watched "Dances with Wolves" too many times. Before you go bragging about how the Indians were so noble, consider that the Indians were in what is now the United States for more than 100,000 years before the Europeans came. During that time, they had not developed a written language, the wheel, numbers, cloth weaving, candles or any form of transportation except walking.(They got horses from the Spanish.) They used stone knives and spears, just as frequently on each other as for hunting, as they were an extremely violent people. The average lifespan was less than 30 years, women were treated as property, they froze when it was cold and burned when it was hot. They left sick children and infants outside to die of exposure. When Columbus landed, the Indians were still in the Stone Age, a minimum 2,000 years behind the rest of the world in technology and culture. I know you guys got a bad break, but there are 330 million people in the US today, millions of families, major cities...was Columbus supposed to turn his ships around and let the Indians continue on their unending camping trip? You got in the way of the future. Run over by progress. Get over it. Besides, Rule Number One in history is if you own it and someone can take it away from you, you didn't own it. PS Mexicans are NOT native Americans. They are nor a race. thats right! We are taking back this country and se se puede. Nothing you can do about it invaders, so shift up.

In general I would not consider anybody who self-identify's as a foreigner to be an American

Too many people at the CPAC had strong opinions about legalizing 20 million Mexicans. The fighting has been going on in those back rooms for weeks. They will never fiscally be able to justify legalizing the 3rd world poor that contribute very little in our Country. The channel to legalizing them will be determined by whether they get welfare, freebies, etc. If segments of that population apply, they will not qualify. The money and other qualifications are too rigid for the mass's of illegals from South America. Chinese/ Asians will be given more chance than Mexicans. But having said that, those people won't just up and leave. They'll stay hidden until ICE catches up with them if ever.
