Maybe it's time that you accept the grim reality that some people don't want to succumb to your will.
That doesn't make them un-American, it simply makes them "anti-you" as you're no authority on what Americanism should be.
Yeah well, like mama always said, "all the monkeys ain't in the zoo".

Can you all see the writing on the wall? Amnesty! LOL
There's an old saying:

Hurt me once,shame on you

Hurt me twice,shame on me

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this."

Pope,Do you know the number of people waiting in the line to obtain their permanent residency - more than 600K and counting. These people have to wait because of insufficient immigrant visas.

Example: Immigration services is processing applications filed in 2002 for applicants of certain countries..

So imagine an applicant who files for permanent residency in the year 2012. God bless his/her soul.
"BOSTONIAN" you sound just like Senator(I can't swim)Kennedy!

There are 12-20 million illegal aliens in our country

We allow in over 800,000 a year

Our current population is 313 Million

How many more will make you happy?

As for those highly qualified applicants?

1965 Immigration act, Quote: Among those who more accurately foresaw the future effects of the change in immigration law was a certain Myra C. Hacker, Vice President of the New Jersey Coalition, who testified at a Senate immigration subcommittee hearing:

"In light of our 5 percent unemployment rate, our worries over the so called population explosion, and our menacingly mounting welfare costs, are we prepared to embrace so great a horde of the world's unfortunates?

At the very least, the hidden mathematics of the bill should be made clear to the public so that they may tell their Congressmen how they feel about providing jobs, schools, homes, security against want, citizen education, and a brotherly welcome ... for an indeterminately enormous number of aliens from underprivileged lands."

"We should remember that people accustomed to such marginal existence in their own land will tend to live fully here, to hoard our bounteous minimum wages and our humanitarian welfare handouts ... lower our wage and living standards, disrupt our cultural patterns ..."

"Whatever may be our benevolent intent toward many people,[the bill] fails to give due consideration to the economic needs, the cultural traditions, and the public sentiment of the citizens of the United States." (U.S. Senate, Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization of the Committee on the Judiciary, Washington, D.C., Feb. 10, 1965. pp. 681-687.)

Three Decades of Mass Immigration

The Legacy of the 1965 Immigration Act

Hart-Celler Act hearings 1965

Quote: Senate immigration subcommittee chairman Edward Kennedy (D-MA.) reassured his colleagues and the nation with the following:

"First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same ... Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset ... Contrary to the charges in some quarters,[the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia ... In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think."

Sen. Kennedy concluded by saying,

"The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants.

It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society.

It will not relax the standards of admission.

It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs."

(U.S. Senate, Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization of the Committee on the Judiciary, Washington, D.C., Feb. 10, 1965. pp. 1-3.)

And why did your family immigrate to the USA?
What ever the reason I'm sure they immigrated here "Legally"!

Unlike the 12-20 million illegal aliens sucking at our welfare system.

Obama would be singing a different tune if his daughters were decapitated. Really now folks, why are illegal mexican aliens pouring into this country? And why are we in Afghanistan changing those people, building new homes and changing the way they are. Not to mention the inner breeding by NATO allies over there. Are we really going to go into mexico and clean house, you know, change them so they can be normal. I mean those people really do hate their country. We need to make Mexico a better place so they will stay home. That means changing their government. I see no answer for the illegal alien crisis. If Obama gives them amnesty, more will come, because American employers only want illegal aliens, because they can whip them and pay them peanuts and get filthy rich. Money doesn't really go back into the economy to create jobs. Our country is broke from cheap illegal alien slaves. Money gets sent back to Mexico and they milk our system, which is not a very good thing. Politicians keep kicking the can down the road and are really making the problem a growing crisis. Laws are not ment to be broken, but we have become a nation of broken laws sponsored by employers and politicians and special interest idiots. Our politicians no longer work for American citizens. As you can clearly see what Obama just did with illegal aliens, just for a vote. Obama will lose. Obama gave my construction job away to illegal aliens and I am a struggling American looking for jobs mexicans won't do. I went to school to learn my trade, only to have it taken away by illegal mexican aliens. The union I belong to is corrupt, turning their heads to fake ID and giving my job away to illegals just to benifit from kickbacks. We are in a world of hurt. Politicians are like diapers.
