I expected much more out of Christie but we have more confirmation on the real Christie.

He manufactured a scenario he could complete from beginning to end AND show he could "compromise" on. Even though he had no need to compromise. The compromise part is Christie attempting to show voters his administration won't have shutdowns ie pandering to fence sitting DemocRATS.
