A new Alabama immigration enforcement law requires schools to ascertain the immigration status of students at registration. And if you keep rewarding people for soemthing you want them to stop doing it will never happen. There are legal ways to come to America. Other poeple do it everyday and get no special treatment.
South Americans should not get any special treatment either. Boot them out with their kids in tow. CHeers!

Only if their parents can prove that they've contributed to the tax base at a rate on par with legal citizens
So your saying it's ok to be here illegally? You have people from all over the world pay their dues to come here legally, why should America make an exception to illegals (and yes I'm referring to Hispanics since they make up the vast majority of illegal immigration)

<quoted text>I couldn't agree with you more. The overcrowding can be alliviated with more classrooms and more teachers. English as a 2nd language is taught to a lot of non-English speaking children, not just children of illegals, e.g. asian children need special tools to understand English.
But here's the problem with children, how do you KNOW they are children of illegal aliens? If you ask the schools (i.e. the classroom teacher) to ID the students then THAT really detracts from a giving a good education to the others. That's being penny wise and pound foolish.

Big problems require big solutions, not petty gripes from small minds.
Yes, the overcrowding can be alliviated with more classrooms and more teachers... because our pockets are lined with gold?

We will never forget, in our ****HEARTS****, ALL, that the Mexican cockroaches have done, and consequently, Mexican cockroaches don't have a fighting chance left in the world.

My kids have a right to an education here. My neighbor's kids have that right also. An illegal _____(any country, any race) does not have the RIGHT. Instead, they steal that right from a citizen

The really sad part of this is that the decision giving illegals free public education left an out that not one single state has the balls to take advantage of. The decision is null and void if the state can show that educating the illegals is putting a financial burden on the state. Virtually every state, especially California, could show this beyond a shadow of a doubt and then would no long have to pay for the education of illegals. Unfortunately, we have Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown for a governor so this won't happen until he's recalled, impeached or loses the next election.

No, no Illegals should be entitled to education, employment anywhere or medical coverage until they legally gain citizenship in this country.

Were you educated? I think you missed a few classes in English grammar, because I just can't seem to figure out what you are talking about! Yes, we can-and should!-deport children with their parents. Sad, yes. Not their fault. But the reality is there is a legal way to do things. We all have to follow the rules...why shouldn't everybody else!?

Outside if the United States you have missionaries of different denominations pushing education and their faith upon different cultures and races. The missionaries have been sent there with the blessings of those trying to expand their point of view and agenda. Look at what the descendants of the Mayflower did to The Native American Indians and how the generosity if all the Europeans created the smoke and mirror tradition of Thanks Given! what it's wrong with an education? If immigrants don't send their kids to school they are breaking the law. Besides what do you expect the children to do, go to work. Which it's also illegal and that's why they passed labor laws! Change it's difficult to accept and tend to avoid the obvious by ignoring the obvious! The Irish,Italians, Polish and German immigrants were blamed during the industrial revolution for many of the problems at one point in the past. They cane here because there wasn't enough worker to sustain the growth the country was going through.
After WW II the migration of Puerto Ricans and Dominican started why, because they country needed factory workers. Down south there was a shortage of field workers and that started the migrant workers cycle. It's nothing new, just look at how a few countries in Europe needed to admit immigrants in order to work the farms in the last twenty years, why because their own citizens refused to do it and moved out the farms and migrated to other countries for financial reasons.

Its all about the money the states receive from the Feds, schools keep their classrooms fat they get big money, I bet no one out there knows one teacher receiving U.I. checks, they are all back to work plus thousands more, Obama-Brown want their votes bad. The teachers union got Brown back in office for that one purpose, also at every community college they are out there registering folk for the Democratic party and food stamps, Politics bring the sleazziest people youll ever meet, Liberal Democrats just happen to be the worst vote republican

Well, Chavo, in a word, yes! We are America!!!!! We are the richest, most powerful nation in the history of the world. If we can't educate our children then who can?

It's not that we lack the "gold" it's that we lack the will to educate our children. That's the future of this nation and who knows, perhaps this world, and you want to question the wealth of America?
