Sheriff says no federal teeth to state's 'show me your papers' enforcement

The decision last week by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton means that police are required to check the citizenship of anyone they encounter, while enforcing other laws, whom they believe may be in the country illegally.

""He said the state law was created because the federal government is not doing enough to stop illegal immigration, but now, with ICE refusing to take custody of some suspects, the effect of the law is diluted.

"It bothers me," he said, that illegal aliens are already breaking the law, but ICE is seemingly willing to act only if what his deputies find them doing is a crime.

"You have the authority, the jurisdiction on immigration crimes," he said. "But the federal government is not enforcing (the law)."

If ICE refuses to pick up a illegal,then ICE needs to be revamped and those responsible fired! If here illegal then detain and deport!!

seems that was the idea of that judge letting this go into effect, knowing obama would not allow ice and all others do their job as hired and even after giving an oath. then again this president has not taken his oath for real.

How many American do you think could waltz into Mexihole, protest the Government, parade the American Flag, walk into a welfare office and get food stamps, hire a cheap immigration Attorney and take up residentcey, without being tossed into jail, and deported?
