Gov't to keep ban on paying bone marrow donors
Could paying for bone marrow cells really boost the number of donors? The Obama administration is taking steps to block a federal court ruling that had opened a way to find out.

There is no reason to BLOCK the payment for bone marrow donors.
As long as someone is donating a 'replenishable' bodily item (blood, semen, marrow, etc.), and not selling an actual organ, there should be nothing to prevent compensation for the donation.
Encouraging more people to donate marrow could potentially save many, many lives that are now being lost due to the lack of donations.
The Obama Administration is wrong to block this issue.
