Wrong and here's an article for ya:
Gov. David A. Paterson has directed all state agencies to begin to revise their policies and regulations to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions, like Massachusetts, California and Canada.
In a directive issued on May 14, the governor’s legal counsel, David Nocenti, instructed the agencies that gay couples married elsewhere “should be afforded the same recognition as any other legally performed union.”
The revisions are most likely to involve as many as 1,300 statutes and regulations in New York governing everything from joint filing of income tax returns to transferring fishing licenses between spouses.

Did ya notice that Canada was mentioned?
You didn't read the entire article....this was never carried out...

Read the ARTICLE stupid......New York DIDN'T grant the right to marry until 2 years after her wife's death, but New York RECOGNIZED her marriage at least a year before her wife's passing!!!

Actually, I did and it was legal......that's why she had grounds to sue in the first place......but then, why would ANY of us expect you to admit when you are wrong?

yes they are... so if one legally married couple gets those, and another legally married couple does not, that would not be equal, would it? that would be found unconstitutional,a s DOMA will be. probably not on those grounds, but it will be.

Somebody is going to be so disappointed with the inevitable outcome in the DOMA case, aren't they?

Its fate was sealed the moment the court insisted on questioning the BLAG's standing. Even those on the Court who have no problem with DOMA are going to be taking a part in its demise. All nine of them are going to be more than happy to sign off on an opinion putting the BLAG in its place and it wasn't with standing at the Appeals Court. Unless Congress is going to be able to resolve whatever problems the Court is going to kick the BLAG to the curb with, DOMA died with the Administration losing at trial in the Windsor case, the Administration under no constitutional obligation to appeal. The only real question is how many are going to be signing onto the opinion that also drives a stake through its heart to make sure it can't come back. I'm not expecting them to do the right thing by giving us an extension of Loving, et al, but there should be at least 5 and possibly 6 that will be up for a reaffirmation of Romer. DOMA is toast.

Ok, idiot stick..... believe whatever little fantasy blows your skirt up. The exact words "separation of church and State" may not be in the constitution, but the concept sure is. And if you don't know that, you need to go back to high school civics class.
No. Most people in the country do NOT think their religious freedoms are being infringed upon because it simply isn't true.
Between you and barefoot2626 I have not been able to determine which on of you is the dumbest. Damn you two girls are stuuuuuupid.

SS couples are not equal to marriage.

At it's most basic essence, marriage is a cross cultural constraint on evolutionary mating behavior.

ss couples are a defective failure.

Actually, it's quite easy to see what you choose to believe. Whether it is a version which has been foisted on you since you were young or one you have chosen to believe in on your own accord, you have chosen to believe in a version of God whose wrath/punishment for our "sins" is to be feared and that is our first duty to him, to fear God. You have also chosen to believe in "sins" that you pray God has a problem with too in order to tell us why you choose to believe others need to live with that kind of fear too.
