And on and on it continues..... Someday, after the year 2746, the plaintiff's children's children's children will file another appeal....

It seems that a thousand generations form now, when our descendents are living on a world orbiting Eta Carinae, the plaintiff's descendents will STILL be fighting this....

Death seems a restful respite....

I seriously doubt the 9th will grant an en banc hearing.....if that is denied, as I believe it will be......that means an appeal to SCOTUS.

SCOTUS will either deny the appeal before it recesses for the Summer or just after returning in October.

Either way.......Marriages will return before the summer wedding season of 2013......at least that's my opinion!!!

No way it happens before the summer recess. The Prop8 people have made it clear they intend to delay this as long as possible. Assuming the 9th circuit denies an en banc review, there is probably some other delay tactic they can use, PLUS they have at least 90 day from the final ruling by the 9th to file their cert. They'll wait until the very last day as they did with the en banc request.

Unfortunately I agree with FoxyFranks pessimism. It wouldn't suprise me in the least if this is drug out until 2014 or 2015.

Thank you for this information. This will inform my response to what you have said in another thread; I am about to go there now.

Perhaps if we start now we can educate the Chrisitans that we do not live in a Christian nation where the Bible rules the land but a democratic Republic where the Constitution does. America belongs just as much to gay people as it does to "the simple minded" pew warmers who are incapable of minding their own business.

You're too kind. I don't mean that as a figure of speech in this case.

So we've heard, many times. Didn't Jesus say to pray in your closet and NOT brag about your prayers on the street? I think he meant the internet also.

In your case, I hope there are drive in churches in your town, that you can whisk by and not bother to go into, for you will not be staying longer than 2 weeks anyway, and then off to another town to try to find the happiness that constantly eludes you.

There's an exception there. Jesus didn't know that Al Gore was going to invent the internet.

Ohh, now you're simply splitting hairs and trying to rewrite the Bible to suit your needs. You know perfectly well that what Jesus said about not crowing about your religion is just the same message, be it in some ancient bible days Jerusalem dirt road, or the internet.

I haven't done so. I've merely stated a fact.

You know that's not true. Why lie about it? Makes no sense. You should just own it.
