As long as we have racist right-wing bigots in this country there will always be a need for Affirmative Action. All you have to do is watch the ignorant right-wing jerks that are running for the GOP nomination to see that AA will always be a necessity in this nation.

However, affirmative action gave neo-Marxists power and control over America.

Afirmative action.

Thats how Obama became president.

Which proves it doesn't work.

It needs to go and him too.

Entrance into a university should be based on merit, period. Race should have nothing to do with it.

Legal Americans should be first in line, and those with the highest academic scores should be at the top of the list.

It isn't right that non-Americans and/or those with iffy academic histories should take spots away from those who are more deserving no matter what color they are.

What does Affirmative Action in the university admissions process have to do with racist bigots running for political office?
The kid made a mistake when he put a check in the box titled "White" on the admissions form.

When the day arrives that education opportunities are equal across America, affirmative action will become unneccesary.

Educational opportunities have been UNEQUAL ever since affirmative action - just as equal employment opportunity has been.

Change your statement from "...ever since affirmative action..." to "...long before affirmative action..." and you will be less incorrect.

The time will come, and I had thought it sooner, before GW Bush pulled the plug on the American midddle class, when Affirmative action is less fair that the alternative.

That is, affirmative action is unfair; but no affirmative ation is more unfair..

The guy made a mistake when he indicated his ethnicity as "White" on the application form. People don't understand that you arn't required to provide this type information. If you do supply it, then give them whatever information you feel will best promote you educational goals.

This is 2012, there is no way for officials to objectively judge wether an applicant is white, black, or brown. All these officials care about are the numbers and meeting quotas for federal reporting purposes.

Has there ever been a case where a person was charged with a crime or misdemeaner, because they indicated their ethnicity as something other than what the government deemed was accurate?

How about all those rich white boys that get in because daddy contributes large amounts of money to the university? Or their daddy and grand-daddies are alums. Or how about all those students who get in only because they can throw and catch a ball. That affirmative action is okay?

What about the white boy who's daddy never went to university and who can't throw a ball, but he can build an iPhone application better than anyone?
He could be the next Steve Jobs, but we'll never know, because there are too many mediocre schmucks with their phony sense of entitlement standing in front of him in line.
Then again, maybe he'll still go on to start his own software company anyhow. It will just take him a bit longer and he'll have to work harder to get there. When he reveives a resume from a job candidate who graduated from the university that didn't have enough room for one more white guy, he'll toss it in the trash and laugh.

For example, Affirmative Action allows mediocre black students to get into Harvard Law when others without A.A. have to be at the very top of their class academically to even get through the front door. It's classic reverse Discrimination..

Historically, it dumbs down the curricula allowing some to be graded differently than those who excel on their own merits --- another liberal invention that rewards those who are incompetent that can't meet the standards of higher learning, just to make it fair. When they say A.A. focuses on poor blacks, they should add, they don't have credits to meet the normal criteria.

The Nazi Supreme Court, and liberals/Nazis in general, will always rule against the white population, as if they are saying that blacks are inferior and need to be compensated by lowering qualifications scores to enter any higher school of learning and JOB positions (i.e. police, fire, etc)

THERE IS NO OTHER LOGICAL REASONING OR EXPLANATION.

Harvard faculity must have been miffed when the Wall Street Journal published an article asking it's readers the following question:

I didn't say affirmative action was okay. But those on the political right are only against minorities getting any consideration. They never talk about legacy admissions like George W Bush who may not have been able to get in otherwise taking a spot from that future cancer researcher or inventor of the next great thing.
