Mormons swaying an out-of-state election? Perhaps IRS should review their tax exempt status.
Just sayin'.

The Court didn't rule on Gay Marriage. The Court said if the Governor won't defend an Inititive passed by the voters in his own State it dies if challenged. Any Inititive. The Governor is the ONLY one who can defend the State in a lawsuit.

I'll tell you what. Let's put it to a vote. I'm pretty sure if you flew an iniative to overturn Prop. 8 right now, it would pass. Wanna do that?

People don't get to vote on which basic civil rights other law abiding voters obtain.

The legal representatives that the people voted into office agree, and did not defend the case.

The nut jobs who tried to defend it did not have the standing to do so.

End of discussion.

So if voters in a state voted against something you disagree with, you run to the courts to get it overturned. That doesn't help your case if you are trying to convince people that your idea is right or good. It just p*sses people off more and divides us even wider!

Disagree with? No
Unconstitutional? Yes

That's what the courts are for. If you don't like the fact that we have THREE branches of government to ensure all citizens are treated equally, then I suggest to move somewhere else.

You're kidding, right?

I hope so, but so many anti-gay bigots seem to have a problem with understanding the differences between children, pets, and adults.

Are you one of those poor things?

It is a reasonable question! Wait and see who will cry bigotry, racism next to marry whomever, whatever or as many as they want! NAMBLA is already foaming at the mouth, no pun intended or this will be the argument for Sharia Law in the US! WAIT AND SEE!

How is it reasonable?

Can a child or golden retriever legally consent to ANY legal contract? Is marrying one person at a time (which gay and straight people do)the same as marrying 4?

And, if you have such a deep and personal relationship with nambla, can you tell me how many members it has? How and where does it operate? Who supports it?

Just remember, the age of consent laws in this country that allow even 14 year olds to marry were NOT created by gay folks.

And what the heck does Sharia law have to do with American tax-paying citizens legally marrying?
