An Internet radio host known for his incendiary views was arrested Wednesday in North Bergen, N.J., after federal officials charged that his angry postings about a gun case in Chicago amounted to death threats against three judges.

There is no slippery slope. Threats of death or bodily harm are not covered by the 1st amendment, period. Threats against government officials are acts of terrorism, btw. And that is not because they are "special" but because such threats can interfere with the performance of their duties, which can interfere with the right of due process and fair trial.

You may have read the Constitution, but what IS evident, is your lack of understanding of it.

The second amendment was not inserted to allow a free man the right to bear arms in order to protect himself from a violent criminal. Self protection from criminals is a side benefit. The Second was created to give a free man the right to protect himself from tyranny, that is his own over-reaching government. No tyrant can ever make an armed, free population submit to him. Ever. Therefore, the Second Amendment allows violence in order to protect the principles of the entire document. Simply, without the Second, there is no First.

I will give you credit for stating that killing a sitting federal judge cannot be allowed. The radio host went a bit overboard. The US is not at the point of revolution. Yet.

These federal judges should be impeached. The Second Amendment is clear as fresh air...the right to keep and bear arms [i]shall not be infringed[/i]. This is simple English. What is there to interpret? Free, law abiding citizens have a right to own and bear firearms.

Look at the issue realistically:

1) Guns exist.

2) Criminals exist.

3) Criminals often bear firearms in the commission of their crimes.

4) Each person does not have a police officer attached to his hip.

5) Therefore, each person is responsible for extricating himself from whatever crime is being committed [i]at the time of commission[/i]. The only way to do that is with power equal to the criminal's. That would be a firearm.

6) The police come by later to determine what crime was committed and who committed it. Note the use of past tense. "Was" committed.

Lastly, my guess is that you are 14-16 years old and do not have the life experiance necessary to make judgements on the meaning of the contents of the Constitution. If you are older than that, you are either unintelligent, ignorant, or both.

I do not like to be insulting, so I judge you ignorant. Please study the Constitution some more.
