You'd think that all of the Parking Lot cases we've seen lately would have provided sufficient precedent. Now it is up to SCOTUS or Congress.

Where's that commercial/ad where the gun buyer tells the gun seller (dealer) he works at the post office ?

No person may bring a weapon into the post office because post office employees don't want armed people stopping/interfering a post office employee while he or she goes postal in the post office.

It is legal to mail long guns (regardless of what post office managers tell you, and they will tell you it is illegal.)

The 2nd amendment prohibits the feds from regulating guns, right (dc vs heller)?

As I see it, the court didn't do its job. Nothing new there ...
.
Rather than challenge all of the subsidiary (inferior) law, it merely used such to make an excuse.
.
Had the court instead relied upon the Constitution and the amending articles, then the inferior law would have been found wanting.
.
Additionally, since the U.S.P.S is a federal government entity, then it has engaged in a deception: The prohibition against firearms on their property is without a doubt a new aspect in law with did not exist priorly, and for which there is no valid basis.
.
That the U.S. Congress and an agency of government have colluded to enact UnConstitutional regulations, with the court being sufficiently lazy as to ignore the patent violations of the Constitutional law, is all the more the problem.
.
Finally, were not the said U.S.P.S such a contentious employer, it wouldn't have to worry about violent behavior.

This is about an EMPLOYEE which is different that the average citizen walking into the Post Office. Depending on the state an employer can refuse to allows weapons on the property.
This is also an UNPUBLISHED opinion and carries no weight.

IMHO - this article was a waste of space and time for anyone reading it.

An unpublished court opinion is NO opinion at all!

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aquarius

Avoid making promises today, or even believing in other people's promises. Today is not a good day to make commitments, as they are not likely to materialise. Taking risks is a no-no. Try to relax until the numbers are in your favour. Those pursuing their career will benefit.
